St. Cyr's Pool & Spa works out of 263 South Main Street in Middleton, and homeowners hire it for two fairly different jobs: keeping a backyard pool running season to season, and buying and servicing a hot tub. The Better Business Bureau lists the business as engaged in the sale, service and installation of in-ground and above-ground pools, the sale and service of spas, and a retail store carrying supplies, parts and chemicals. The seasonal pool work is where regular customers get most specific. Homeowners describe crews opening a pool, adding chemicals, and bagging and storing the cover, and closing crews working through pouring rain and leaving everything tidy. One customer who uses them every spring and fall credits the technicians with spotting problems early rather than waiting for them to become expensive. Repairs draw the same kind of detail. A homeowner whose pump bearings failed on the first cold night had a replacement motor fitted the next morning in under an hour; another had a broken pool heater diagnosed on site with the next steps explained. Hot tub owners report single-visit fixes with the part already on the truck, and warranty repairs handled without argument. Technicians are named again and again — Anthony, Danny, Alex, Ryan, Justin, Jim, Zach. The complaints are consistent enough to ask about, and they cluster on coordination rather than craft. Several 2026 reviewers describe appointments booked through an automated scheduling system where no technician was ever assigned, one waiting two weeks to find that out. In an October 2025 review, a homeowner who paid $200 for a heater assessment said the promised quote never came and the work order had been marked complete; another review that month described a wrong cover delivered with same-day notice by email. The sharpest complaints concern recurring pool care. In April 2026 a homeowner said their pool was never swimmable across a full season — left full of leaves after both a closing and the following opening, with weekly visits removing only a few scoops before the water was declared too murky to clean. In June 2026 another said a saltwater conversion and opening left the pool green. A May 2026 online order was cancelled and refunded without notice. Google shows 4.7 stars across 898 ratings and 587 reviews are on file going back to 2021, so the positive base is large and long-running. The Better Business Bureau grades the business A-, its stated reason being a failure to respond to one complaint. For hot tub sales, delivery and service this is a well-reviewed choice. For a pool, confirm the schedule, the scope of a weekly visit, and who to call when an appointment slips before you book.
UPDATE: No, I did not receive a call from the Service Manager as stated by the response below. St Cyr Service and their social managers will tell you what you want to hear; like the 2 other times. Got a great deal on a floor model Bull Frog Spa at the North Hampton location. Purchase and delivery went great. Had a leak shortly after filling up the spa and St Cyr was good about getting someone out there quickly to fix the issue. I have another warranty issue with a jetpack light that was never installed from the factory that St Cyr has been less than professional and unacceptable resolving - it took weeks to get the part on order after the Technician wrote up the order. I have had to call about this part numerous times to keep track of St Cyr. The scheduled an appt without calling me (was not home that day). Called again to actually schedule an appt that worked for both of us. They confirmed the appt., yet on the day of, it took me calling to see when the tech would arrive, just to find out they suspended my appt without telling me, because they couldn't drive to their other location to get the part. I asked to speak to the Service Manager multiple times; never a call back. Days later, they still don't have the part at their Service location, though have said they will finally be here to replace the part. The only reason this is not one star, is because the service tech (Bill) has been amazing the prior times coming to perform warranty work
AJ was great and super helpful.
Highly knowledgeable pool technicians and reasonable prices! I was also tricked into buying a new pool pump for thousands of dollars from another company until I called St Cyr's Pool & Spa. Their technician came to my home and took his time to assess what was going on with the pump. He saved me thousands of dollars and was able to solve the simple issue with the pump line. He even educated me on next steps for the pool going forward. I would recommend this company for any pool service!
