Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tavlee Inc. (“Tavlee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Tavlee website and contractor directory (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. When you contact us, submit a business-listing or correction request, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the Service, we and our service providers automatically collect technical and usage information, including your IP address, approximate location derived from that IP address (used to personalize results to your area), device and browser type, pages and listings viewed, referring pages, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from third-party sources. The Service is a directory that aggregates publicly available information about home contractors from third-party sources, online listings, review platforms, and public government registries (for example, state licensing databases). This information relates to businesses and the people who operate them and is combined into the profiles shown on the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- personalize the directory, including showing contractors relevant to your area;
- compile and synthesize contractor profiles and verify license information against public state registries;
- respond to your inquiries and provide support;
- monitor and analyze usage, trends, and performance;
- detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, and abuse; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, understand how the Service is used, and measure performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service functions.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- with service providers and processors who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, and infrastructure), under obligations to protect the information;
- when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tavlee, our users, or others;
- in connection with, or during negotiations of, a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets; and
- with your consent or at your direction.
Information shown in public contractor profiles is, by the nature of a directory, publicly visible to anyone who uses the Service.
5. Contractor and Business Information
Contractor profiles are built from publicly available information drawn from third-party sources and public registries. If you are a contractor and would like to review, correct, update, or request removal of information about your business, contact us at support@tavlee.com and we will review your request.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and the right to opt out of certain processing. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and individuals in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom (under the GDPR) may have additional rights, including the rights described in those laws. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@tavlee.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Service links to third-party websites and resources, such as contractor websites and external listings. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
