Hire Pool Pros for a liner and the reviews turn long and detailed; hire them for a spring opening and it gets uneven. That split runs through four years of Google reviews for this East Bridgewater company, which the BBB lists as an S corporation started in 2004 and run by owner NormaJean Begley. The installation and repair jobs are what draw the careful write-ups. A 2023 customer walked through an in-ground liner replacement step by step — old liner out, pool walls and bottom prepped, the new one in — and named the men who did it. In 2022 another said the company replaced a liner, installed a light, and found the leaks that had been draining the pool for years, the first time since they'd owned it that the water level held. A 2022 homeowner with a lagoon-shaped pool ringed in rocks said other companies had given her the runaround on a safety cover before this one came out to measure it. Their Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and BuildZoom's permit trail — 23 pool jobs in Hanson, Braintree, Milton, Quincy and a dozen other South Shore towns between 2017 and 2024 — fits an install-and-repair outfit more than a weekly-route service. The seasonal openings are where the recent complaints cluster. One 2025 customer said a $310 opening took under thirty minutes and came down to pulling the winter plugs and a look at the filter; another said the crew left without cleaning the pool, adding water, or putting in any chemicals. Scheduling is the other sore spot: a 2025 liner customer got same-morning notice that the job was happening, a 2023 reviewer said they were no-showed twice with no explanation, and a 2022 one described repeated last-minute cancellations after months on the books. A 2022 reviewer offered the likeliest explanation — the company works about five months a year and is slammed straight through them. Google settles at 3.7 across 45 ratings, which is a fair read of that shape. The most recent word, from June 2026, runs the other way: a four-star opening handled well by two techs the customer named. Call them for a liner replacement, a leak nobody else has been able to find, or a cover for an awkwardly shaped pool — that is the work their strongest reviews are built on. If you're booking a seasonal opening or closing instead, pin down in writing what the price covers, whether cleaning and chemicals are part of it, and a firm date, and book early rather than late.
Jason & Ben opened our inground pool and did a great job! Jason is a pleasure to work with & goes above & beyond and is very knowledgeable!
Had Pool Pros come out mid season last year to fix a leak in our above ground pool. They had to make a few trips & replace our return. In the end, they only charged us for 1 service call & the issue is fixed! We got another whole season out of our pool which we weren’t sure we were going to! Shout out to Norma & McKenzie for helping us out!
Terrible service and scheduling. They did not schedule our liner replacement in advanced and assumed they could just let us know suddenly the morning they wanted to do the replacement. When they did the liner replacement, they neglected to tell us someone would come by later in the evening to deal with the vacuum and hose. They then neglected to tell us that the pool needed more water before the skimmer was cut in, even though they knew that same evening and could have texted us or knocked on our door. We had to call them and inquire about whether they were coming to finish the skimmer work before they informed us we needed to fill the pool more. When I asked about when they planned on informing us, they simply said they weren't sure. In addition, they don't appear to offer a modern payment method and insist on payment over the phone. Pool Pros is extremely difficult to work with, but they get 2 stars because the work at least appears to be good.
This company came to our home, didn’t clean the pool, didn’t put any water into it, no chemicals even though we requested a pool opening, and left it a mess. We paid for a service just for them to do absolutely nothing. Well done, terrible service, no reconciliation, yet paid in full. God awful experience, not to mention the MASSIVE delays. If I could leave a 0 I would.
Im new to the pool ownership game and I was having issues with my pool and gave pool pros a call - they were able to make it out the same day and found the issue no problem (luckily a user issue.) they didn’t stop there, gave me a ton of useful tips for maintenance and usage.
