Phi Inspections is a home inspection business based in Hingham. Its Google page shows 3.4 out of 5 stars from five ratings, but almost nothing else is visible to size up their day-to-day work. The one detailed account on record, from this spring, is a rough one: a customer says an inspector broke a stair rail during a visit, then the company denied responsibility and got defensive when the customer raised safety concerns about it, telling them they weren't even a client. With only a couple of written reviews spanning several years, there isn't enough here to say how often that kind of experience happens versus how the other visits went. Anyone booking would do well to ask directly how the company handles damage or safety issues that come up during an inspection, and to check for a more recent, independent reference before committing.
