Watertown Tile & Stone (legally Watertown Tile & Marble Design) is, first and foremost, a tile-and-stone showroom on Arsenal Street in Watertown — by its own account one of the largest tile selections in New England, stocked with ceramic, porcelain, glass, mosaic, and natural stone plus countertops, cabinets, and sinks. It has been owner-run for about twenty years by Misael Silva Lourenco, the "Mickey" who turns up all over the reviews. It also offers and coordinates tile and countertop installation, so it does install — but the retail showroom is the core of the business. Across 43 Google ratings it sits at 4.3, and the good reviews keep coming back to two things: the breadth of the selection and Mickey himself. Recent customers describe him going out of his way over a single piece of stone tile, helping choose bathroom floor tile, and a kitchen job where his install team beat expectations on both price and timeline. When people work directly with the owner and the showroom staff, they tend to leave happy. The softer spot is follow-through. A recent reviewer put it bluntly — nice people, but they "never deliver on what they promise" — and the longer history echoes it: quotes that were promised and never arrived, an undisclosed 25% restock fee with a refund that took weeks, and an order that came in wrong more than once. A recurring undercurrent is that the experience is smoothest when the owner is the one handling it. So treat this as a materials-first destination with capable installation attached. Go for the selection and Mickey's guidance, but get your quote, your exact order, and any return or restock terms in writing before you pay — that's where the complaints cluster, and it's easily avoided.

Micky is the great to work with. I purchased tile for my new bathroom, cabinets for my kitchen and countertops for both. Highly recommend.

Mickey and his team of installers were awesome to work with. They exceeded my expectations with prices and install timeline and did an excellent job. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to anyone I know that needs kitchen work.

Very attentive even on a small matter. Stopped in to ask for help with a single piece of stone tile, and Mickey went out of his way to get me just what I needed.

Have tried this place a number of times. People seem nice, but they never ever deliver on what they promise. I've given up on them.
