Ask a True Health customer what sold them and the answer is usually the lab results. Don Scammell tests treated water through a third party twice a year and sends the numbers out, and reviewers keep circling back to it — one describes his proactive approach when towns report elevated contamination warnings, explaining the issue and showing lab-backed data that the system is still holding. The company works out of Hingham and does one thing: whole-house water purification. Not softeners, not under-sink reverse osmosis — one system at the meter meant to strip THMs, PFAS and sediment from every tap in the house. Customers write in from the towns where that matters. Scituate reviewers describe recurring brown water; a February 2026 customer said the difference showed up most in the shower; another reported that during an E. coli boil-water order they were told their system already made the water safe to drink. The volume behind it is real — 116 Google ratings averaging 5.0, plus 138 on Angi and HomeAdvisor at the same average, spanning 2021 to 2026. Eleven reviews landed in the last six months, none of them negative. Two things to raise before signing. First, licensing: the Massachusetts registry lists plumber licence 4179-PL-C in the company's name, and it is expired. Ask who pulls the permit and under whose licence the tie-in gets made. Second, the one substantive complaint on record. In a November 2022 review, a customer wrote that the system itself was fine but the installation was not — mounted out of level, plastic piping run into an all-copper house, and no willingness to come back and change it. Nothing since repeats that, and recent reviewers specifically praise clean installs in awkward spots, including a finished basement. Even so, if your house is older or the mechanical room is tight, agree the routing and pipe materials in writing first. For a South Shore homeowner worried about what is in the town supply, this is a water-treatment specialist rather than a general plumber, and the testing paper trail is why people pick them. Settle the licensing question and the pipe materials, then judge them on the data they will hand you.
Could not be happier with this system and the service, I never have to remember when filters need to be replaced. Thank you for sharing all the testing and making sure my family has pure water!
Install was seemless and quick. Love the system!
Don and the team at True Health were fantastic to deal with. Don was very knowledgeable about the water conditions in our area, and assured us that his system would be able to get us clean, healthy water. From our final meeting to the installation of the system was incredibly quick. The water quality difference is remarkable. So happy we went with True Health - highly recommend if looking for whole home water filtration systems on the south shore.
We are very happy that we had the True Health Water System installed 2 years ago. Water is crystal clear and tastes delicious. I am very comfortable now when bathing my grandson due to the knowledge that the water is so clean and free of toxins. We had the smaller system installed since we are a family of two and it works just fine.
We love our True Health True Pure 3000! Feels so great to drink and bathe this now clean water! I highly recommend Don and his team at True Health to anyone who wants clean water!
