T. Morrell Gutters and Roofing works out of Braintree, Massachusetts, taking on roof and gutter jobs — repairs, full tear-offs, and new installs — for homeowners south of Boston. A handful of contractor directories also list a Weymouth address and the same phone number, which points to either a second location or an old listing that never got cleaned up. The history here is a genuinely split one. Reviews describe complete roof and gutter jobs, including new fascia work on an older home, with customers calling the crew professional and polite. Set against that are complaints about unfinished work: one customer said a roof leak repair done with just caulking never actually stopped the leak, and that a later job proceeded without a permit, a contract, or a signed agreement. Another described gutters that started making a loud noise in the wind after a repair, and said the contractor admitted the fix probably needed more screws but never came back to redo it. The current Google rating sits at 3.9 stars, but that's built on only 7 ratings — too small a sample to lean on heavily, and the individual reviews found elsewhere skew sharply negative rather than matching that average. Before booking, get the scope of work, the price, and the permit plan in writing — the complaints on record center on jobs that proceeded without any of the three. A full roof or gutter replacement with a signed agreement up front looks like the safer way to work with this outfit than an informal repair call.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unfortunately hired Morrell to repair gutters that were damaged when a tree fell on our home. After his "repair" my gutters now make an extremely loud howling sound when they vibrate in strong wind. Called Morrell to discuss, he admitted that he probably should have used more than one screw to attach each bracket, and that he would come out to repair it. He has since ghosted me. A second repair person laughed at what a poor job he did.

Tried to con the elderly by charging $1100 to fix a leaking roof by just using cawlking which looked like a 3 year old did it. Leak still was not fixed and came back and ripped off her entire one side of roof (1 and 1/2 sq), tried telling her he installed a ridge vent and pipe boots.. absolutely no ridge vent or any pipes on the roof also put flashing on top of the shingles and capped the peak the wrong direction. Tried charging an additional $1400. Absolutely no permit was pulled, no contract was given and nothing was signed. Gives a joke of an invoice AFTER second job is done. No mention of how big the roof was and lied about what was done. STAY AWAY
