A 5.0 average across 102 Google ratings is unusual on its own. What makes Seashore Comfort Solutions worth a longer look is what the reviews keep describing: the heat-pump and mini-split jobs other companies had already made a mess of. The Gloucester company works across Cape Ann and the North Shore on heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, central air, furnaces and the maintenance around them — duct and dryer-vent cleaning included. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade, and its Angi and HomeAdvisor listings each show 5.0 from 23 ratings. The pattern in the written accounts is repair of other people's work as much as new installation. A March 2025 customer already holding a quote from another company was told by Seashore that the system was still under warranty — something the first company had not mentioned. In July 2023 a homeowner whose new AC had been installed badly went through several companies and the factory service advisors before Seashore agreed to diagnose and fix it. An April 2026 visit turned up an error left by the original installer and corrected it on the spot. The big jobs get described in the same practical register. A March 2023 client replacing two furnaces with heat pumps credited a contract that spelled out the work and costs up front, with the HVAC crew, plumber and electrician all coordinated by Seashore, town permits and inspections arranged, rebates filed and equipment registered on their behalf. In October 2023 another had a 35-year-old furnace replaced in a hard-to-reach spot in a 100-year-old house. In November 2023, a customer left without heat as temperatures dropped was given a workaround plan when parts were back-ordered, and the owner came by afterward to walk them through the new system. A May 2025 central-air client watched the estimator map the house on an iPad to size the system. Names recur, which tends to mean a stable crew: Nick and Dave on service calls, Rich on design and installs, Sarah in the office for scheduling and pricing. In March 2026 a customer singled out precise pricing quoted over the phone; a July 2026 client, an interior-design studio in downtown Gloucester, had a technician sent out the same day when their AC quit in a hot stretch. One practical note: parts are not always on the shelf. An April 2026 customer was told a component would take one to three days, and it did — with the office calling with updates and the technician back the next day to fit it. Plan around that if you are calling in the middle of a heatwave or a cold snap. For heat pumps and mini-splits on the North Shore, and particularly for a system someone else installed badly, this is a well-evidenced call. Ask for the written scope-and-cost contract that reviewers keep mentioning, and confirm who is handling the rebate paperwork.
We had a wonderful experience working with Sarah and her team. We recently opened a small interior design studio in downtown Gloucester, and when we ran into an issue with the AC during a particularly hot stretch, they were incredibly responsive and were able to send Dave out right away. Dave was communicative, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the process, and the space is now much more comfortable for us, and our design clients. We’re so grateful for the quick support and excellent service. Highly recommend!
The Tech arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem and informed us the it would take one to three days to arrive. The office kept us updated and three days later the office called and told us the part was in and could come the next day to install it. The tech showed up on time installed the part and made sure it worked properly. We have been a customer of seashore for over 6 years and are happy to recommend them.
The two technicians that serviced our system were prompt, knowledgeable and professional. They found an error that had occurred from our original installation with a different company and were able to explain the problem and fix it immediately. Very personable staff both in the office and in our home. Highly recommend them!!
I recently had a deep cleaning done on my mini-splits and couldn’t be happier with the service. The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the process and answer all my questions. They were also very personable, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. On top of that, their pricing was competitive compared to others I looked into. My units are running like new again—I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.
Sarah was a joy on the phone, explained the process clearly, and provided precise pricing. Ray was our technician and did such a great job. Very professional. Would highly recommend.
