Royal Epoxy Floors is a Kingston, MA outfit that HomeAdvisor lists as a newer pro with six years in the trade, doing concrete floor coating and epoxy work; it's also a member of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce. The star average sits at a respectable 4.5 out of 18 ratings on Google (Birdeye shows a similar 4.2 across 20), but the only two reviews with real detail tell a rougher story. One customer says a promised 3-day epoxy/reflective-coating job in their basement dragged into 4 weeks, was left unfinished, and no refund — partial or full — was offered despite repeated attempts to fix it, so they brought in another company to finish. A second reviewer describes nearly the same arc: a 3-day job that turned into a 30-day ordeal, ending with them switching to a different contractor. Given how starkly that pattern contrasts with the overall star average, it's worth asking directly about a firm timeline, what happens if the job runs long, and the refund policy before signing anything. Worth a call for a smaller epoxy or concrete-coating job, but get the timeline and refund terms in writing given the specific complaints on record, and don't let the star average alone settle the decision.

We hired this company for a 3 day job and ended up to be a 30 day disaster. We ended going to another company to finish the job.

We do not recommend Royal Epoxy LLC due to our experience.

We had agreed with Royal Epoxy LLC to have them install reflective flooring in our basement. We were promised this job to be done within 3 days. Unfortunately 3 days turned in to 4 weeks, we still had an incomplete job, and was told we could not get a full or even a partial refund. There were consistent mistakes made throughout this entire process. They did try to fix it, however they could not get it right.

When on our 4th week without a completed floor, we reached out to 'Industrial Floor Effects' and they came that same day, started working and was able to complete the job in 4 days. They were able to fix the mistakes and make it look elegant. There was a completely different professionalism and expertise with this company.
