ProEdge Remodeling sells replacement windows, and the two halves of its reputation split neatly along that sale: homeowners tend to like the installers and argue with the sales process. The Chelmsford-listed company says it has been at this since 1961, working across New England and New York, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active under ProEdge Remodeling, Inc. Windows are the through-line. A March 2026 Google reviewer had a crew on site two days and got the job done on time and on budget; a June 2026 reviewer credited installers Erisson and Rodrigo with a finished bathroom. Angi and HomeAdvisor each publish 4.8 stars across 35 ratings, but read the dates — nearly all of those were written in 2021, when customers kept describing a whole house of windows swapped inside a day and the furniture put back before the crew left. The newer, thinner column is Google: 4.4 stars from 8 ratings. Its BBB page carries an A+ and accreditation dating to April 2025, and BBB also lists Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Jersey registrations for the company alongside the Massachusetts one. What to ask about is the buying, not the carpentry. Reviewers on the BBB page describe high-pressure in-home sales visits, quotes they considered far above market, and disputes over deposits and how little time they had to cancel. A December 2025 Google reviewer counted 22 calls to a home phone in a single day, with no message left. And in February 2026, a customer who rated the storm windows themselves highly still marked the installation down for quarter-inch gaps where the bottom of the window met the sill, open straight to the outside. One older account is worth knowing too: in a 2021 Angi review, a homeowner said the company came out over attic insulation and then said it did not do the type they wanted. This is a factory-direct window company with a warranty behind it and a live Massachusetts registration — a reasonable call if you want a full-house window or door replacement from an outfit with real scale. Treat the appointment as a negotiation: get the price in writing, read the cancellation terms and deposit schedule before signing anything, and walk the sill seals with the installer before you sign off on the finished job.
