Boston Doors & Windows is a one-owner shop in Somerville — Naruan Isidorio, who goes by Joe, says he left a sales career for carpentry and started the company in 2018. Reviews still read that way: people say "Joe" and "his crew," not a call center, and several describe Joe personally checking the finished work before signing off. The company's own site pitches whole-home jobs, six to thirty-plus windows at a stretch, across Boston and Greater Boston. What actually turns up in the reviews is a wider range: a rusted steel door on a storage shed, a custom basement door with a dryer-vent workaround, a fire-rated garage door finished in fewer hours than promised, an atrium door fitted into a hundred-year-old house where, as one homeowner put it, "nothing is square." Across 49 Google ratings the record is almost entirely five stars, and the last six months alone added 26 more reviews without a single negative one. The details repeat: crews draping plastic over cabinets and counters before touching a window, rotted clapboards found mid-job and repaired for a reasonable add-on rather than a surprise bill, city and historic-district permitting handled start to finish for a narrow French balcony door. The Better Business Bureau lists the company as accredited with an A+ rating and seven years in business, and its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license is active. Nothing in the record points to an actual complaint — no slow callbacks, no botched install, no pricing dispute shows up anywhere across five sources. The one thing worth confirming before calling is fit: the marketing leans hard toward large multi-window projects, even though the reviews show plenty of single-door and small jobs getting the same careful treatment. For a window or door replacement in an older Boston-area house — especially one with historic-district rules to navigate — this is a well-corroborated, owner-run option with a clean two-year run of reviews. Get the estimate and timeline in writing, and if the job is small, ask upfront whether it's still worth their time.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Great communication, full transparency, and an amazing end product. They never tried to pressure us into buying and they gave us a number of options to choose from. They were very accommodating with last minute changes as well. Joe’s team did a great job with the install and cleaned up after themselves (I have had so many negative experiences with other jobs). I would highly recommend Joe and Boston Doors and Windows to anyone.

I had a great experience with Boston Doors and Windows. Their team was professional, fast, and did an excellent job. They kept the work area clean throughout the installation and were surprisingly quiet while working. The entire process was smooth from start to finish, and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Boston Doors and Windows to anyone looking for new windows or doors.

Joe and his team were great start to finish. Professional, communicative, and very collaborative. Doors look great (2 exterior replaced and 1 interior replaced) and they cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.

I had Boston Doors and Windows come out to replace a rusted old steel door on my outside storage space. They were so very helpful! Making an appointment with Joe was very easy. He came out, took measurements and told me my options. The price was fair and I had the door installed within the time promised. Joe's crew did a great job of installing it and cleaned up afterwards. I couldn't be happer!
