Obie Comfort Solutions is a Framingham HVAC company with an unusually deep review record — 4.8 stars across 1,358 Google ratings — and the Better Business Bureau has accredited it since 2012 with an A+ grade. Read a dozen of those reviews and a pattern jumps out: customers name their technician, and the same names come up again and again. The service calls are where the praise is concentrated. A customer this month had a heat pump fault, was scheduled for the very next day, and says the company was clear about both the work and the price before starting. Another had the motor on an outside unit fail, with the part expedited and the repair done the following day while a coordinator kept them updated. One reviewer in July described a technician turning a simple inspection into a whole morning of explaining how each part of their system worked. The company covers heating, cooling and indoor air quality, and BBB lists it doing installation, repair and maintenance across air conditioning, boilers, heat pumps, mini splits and furnaces plus air filtration and purification. The counterweight is specific and recent. In February a customer wrote that their boiler had been broken for over three weeks in cold weather, including through a snowstorm, describing endless calls, conflicting information and no clear timeline for a repair. A late-January reviewer titled their account "No Office Support, Questionable Membership Practices, and Unreliable Emergency Response", describing being pushed to sign up for a paid membership straight after a basic cleaning. Both bear on the office and the emergency response rather than the technicians' skill. An independent note: someone comparing contractors across Greater Boston reported Obie's quote was the lowest and the install acceptable if watched closely, but that requests after the install went unanswered. If you are booking scheduled work — maintenance, a planned replacement, a diagnosis you can wait a day for — the recent record here is strong and the technicians are the reason. If you are in a no-heat emergency or considering the membership plan, ask exactly what response time is guaranteed, what the membership covers, and get any promised follow-up commitments in writing.

“Obie Comfort Solutions had lowest quote, ok install if you watch it closely and correct when it goes wrong, never followups on requests after install”

“Ended up going with Obie because it was a larger project and I liked their professionalism. Honestly, very high marks for them from a customer service and just general "having their shit together" standpoint.”

Santiago was amazing. He went above and beyond the call of duty (a simple inspection) to spend the whole morning explaining all the various parts of our systems, walking me through the care process and diagnosing potential shortcomings in the system. Really grateful to have stumbled upon the Obie team and will be subscribing thanks to his amazing service.
