National Carpet & Flooring has been a fixture on Pawtucket Boulevard in Tyngsboro since 1969 — a family-owned showroom that both sells and installs carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile. Unlike a pure retailer, it runs its own installation crews and offers a shop-at-home service that brings samples to your door. On Google it holds a 4.5 across 54 ratings, and the pattern in reviews is fairly consistent: the sales staff and in-house installers draw the praise, with customers pointing to a wide selection and prices that beat the big-box stores. Several reviewers came to National after other retailers couldn't match the range or turnaround. The complaints cluster elsewhere. More than one customer has described high-pressure sales and quotes that shifted between visits, and others cite installation delays and follow-through problems after the sale. A few felt the finished product or materials didn't live up to the price. For a Tyngsboro-area homeowner who wants to see and feel flooring in person and have one family business handle both the sale and the install, National Carpet is a long-established option with a mostly positive record. Before signing, pin the quote down in writing, confirm the exact product and grade, and get the installation timeline and any furniture handling spelled out.

Customer service was rude and actually just hung up on me didn’t say thanks for calling, sorry we couldn’t help you, I’m tired of that kind of treatment being okay just because I am not in front of you.

Waiting on carpet for 2 weeks day before install they call me to tell me they got wrong carpet and now it will take 17 days longer to get a install i don't see why they wait till day before to get the carpet after i move a lot of my things out of rooms i think its time to call up 50 floor and see how fast they can do a job. i just got response from looks like the owner saying they would like to make things right but i have no way to reply to his answer so im writing it here. I feel that after moving most furniture out of rooms which i was trying to help them out and also pulling all trim off from around all the walls and knowing this has been hard for me do to having lung cancer and throat cancer but was trying to be nice i feel that something should be done by this company but ill leave it in their hands

They are ok till after the sale. They took apart my bed for the carpet (paid extra for this) and my bed was not put together again properly and now needs to be repaired. It took 3 phone calls to get a receipt, etc.

They play games like a used car dealer a quote goes from 10k to 5k and they will pressure you to close the deal before you get another quote, who does that? After getting another quote if you decide to call Nationals back the quote they gave you 5 days ago they won’t do it anymore now if 1500 more, I don’t like being pressured and I don’t like the used car dealer game will never do business with Nationals
