One name shows up in nearly every review of this Revere flooring company: Darwin. He's the one who walks the house, explains what the wood will do, and stays on the job — and that's the whole pitch here. Inline Wood Floors installs, sands, stains, refinishes and repairs hardwood, along with laminate, vinyl, tile and floating floors, working out of Revere across the North Shore suburbs — Saugus, Winthrop, Malden, Melrose, Stoneham, Winchester, Wakefield, Reading and Lynnfield. The company calls itself locally owned, family-run, and says it has more than 17 years in hardwood flooring. Its Google rating sits at 4.9 across 44 ratings, and the history behind it runs five years deep. This spring, a homeowner had water-damaged hardwood in a master bedroom repaired along with the damaged drywall behind it, and described the advice as precise and the result as a bedroom worth being back in. That's the kind of job that recurs: damage assessed, cause addressed, floor brought back rather than simply covered. The one substantive complaint on file is worth reading before you sign. In 2022, a customer who had luxury vinyl plank installed said the work itself was fine but the crew felt rushed and left the site messy — plank boxes in the rooms, removed carpet not hauled away, quarter-round left unfinished — and felt the price was above other local bids for less cleanup. It's a single voice against a long run of praise, and it's four years old, but it points at the two things worth nailing down in writing: what the price includes and who does the haul-away. The company's own account of itself is also loose. The website says it was founded in 2000, elsewhere claims service since 2001, in one spot says 2021, and separately advertises 17-plus years. Nothing here says which is right, so treat the tenure as approximate. If you have old hardwood that needs saving — water damage, a bad refinish, a floor that's outlived two owners — this is the kind of outfit that takes that work seriously and stays in touch while doing it. Get the scope, the cleanup, and the disposal spelled out on the estimate, and confirm what licensing and insurance the job requires before the crew starts.

Very professional, precise and accurate advice and high quality work. Darwin and team repaired waterdamaged hardwood floor in the masterbedroom. It also required repair of water damaged dry wall. It is now a true pleasure to be back in a great looking perfect bedroom.

A great experience! Inline had great pricing, timely work as well as outstanding quality. My floors were in terrible shape and Darwin and his crew restored them to their original luster. I had 100+ year old hardwood floors that never had been finished to antique wide pine. Just a fabulous job!!!! Highly recommend - a pleasure to do business with!
