Nine hundred reviews since 2021, and the technicians' names keep turning up inside them: Hamza, Kyle Moore, Gavin Marino, Duy Nguyen, Zack Kirdulis. This Braintree shop runs plumbing and heating-and-cooling side by side, and its Massachusetts plumbing license is active. Volume is the first thing to understand here, and it is current — 65 reviews in the past six months, behind a 4.8 across 1,089 Google ratings and a 4.9 across 1,303 at Best Pick Reports. June 2026 is dominated by whole-system replacement: a gas furnace and heat-pump AC installed and brought up to code, a condo HVAC system swapped in about six hours, a furnace and air conditioner replaced in one long day for a household that had gone ten days without cooling. The plumbing side moves at the same clip — a Saturday website request answered by text and a garbage disposal replaced by Monday, a badly blocked shower drain cleared the morning after a weekend call, a 65-year-old cellar drain line torn out and rebuilt in PVC the day it clogged. Price is the thing to pin down, because the sharpest complaints all have one shape and they cluster in early 2026. A customer who says he has spent his career in the trades was quoted $28,000 to swap a failed combo boiler. In January 2026 reviews, one homeowner reported a $23,000 estimate for what turned out to be a $200 fix, and another a $2,000 estimate for a leaky 12-inch pipe that a different plumber replaced for a couple hundred dollars. In February 2026 a customer was quoted $700 just to replace a toilet tank fill valve, by a plumber who arrived late and without parts. There is a counterweight — a June 2026 customer was quoted $6-700 to snake a drain and charged considerably less once the drain turned out not to need it — but get a second quote before you sign. Scheduling is the other soft spot: appointments moved twice on short notice, one outright no-show the company later made right, and a December furnace-and-thermostat install that left the AC call wire unconnected, which surfaced only when the 90-degree days arrived. A January 2026 reviewer writes that the company would not service a machine it had installed a year earlier, leaving two elderly people without heat during a blizzard, and lays that refusal on its purchase of Winters Home Services; a February 2026 reviewer describes the opposite experience, with a Winters-installed heating system diagnosed and fixed on the spot. One more piece of scope worth knowing: the Better Business Bureau page behind the company's accreditation is its Harrisburg, Pennsylvania listing, and the 45 complaints logged there sit against that Pennsylvania file, not a Braintree one. For a furnace, boiler or AC replacement this is a deep bench that turns up, works fast, and gets named by the customer afterward. Get a competing quote before signing, and if the equipment came in through Winters, get the warranty terms in writing.
Excellent professional installation of new gas furnace & AC heat pump system. Effectively brought installation up to code. Work completed promptly. LEAD Installer Kyle Moore and team, and electrician James Cobbs, were highly knowledgeable, committed to excellence, and delivered quality service. Highly recommended!
When I purchased my home in 2019, it was only about ten years old, so HVAC wasn’t top of mind. Fast forward to 2026, and I realized both of my central air units in this 3,000 sq/ft home were approaching 17 years old—well beyond their expected lifespan. My second-floor system was diagnosed with an irreparable leak, and the first-floor unit was clearly not far behind.<br><br>After receiving multiple estimates that all came in around the same range and some too high. I was fortunate to be referred to Airton Andrade and his team member, Andrew Guilfoyle at HL Bowman. THE "A" team<br>From the start, Airton provided a highly professional experience. His estimates were detailed and included multiple options for equipment, warranties, and financing. As someone in the automotive business, I really appreciate clear, visual, written estimates—it made it easy for my wife and me to evaluate what made the most sense for our forever home.<br>The entire process—from the initial home visit, to selecting the right system, to the day of installation—was absolutely seamless. The team was knowledgeable, transparent, and genuinely helpful. At no point did I feel pressured, which made a big difference given the size of the investment.<br>Andrew and his installation team arrived early, stayed on schedule, and were professional and friendly throughout the entire day.<br>We’re extremely happy with our decision to go with HL Bowman. This was a major investment that adds real value to our home, and we feel confident we made the right choice.<br>Thank you again to Airton and Andrew for delivering such an outstanding experience.
