Floor Coverings International of Cape Cod is the Pocasset outfit that brings its samples to your living room instead of asking you to visit a showroom — Matt Beauregard's team runs a mobile flooring operation with a BBB A+ rating and 4.9 stars across 237 Google reviews. The specifics people keep bringing up: a bedroom carpet replacement that came in over $2,000 cheaper than a downtown retail store's bid for the same job, a 1,200-square-foot hardwood install plus 500 square feet of refinishing and 250 linear feet of baseboard trim managed start to finish by Beau and Craig, and a callback within ten minutes for an odd small job most contractors wouldn't bother with. One recent customer's subfloor turned out to need work once the old carpet came up; the fix was reasonably priced and didn't push back the schedule, though the customer did flag a lot of black dust from cutting planks indoors. Not every recent account lands the same way. One reviewer described the sales visit as heavy pressure toward whatever product benefited the company most, with installers who did a mediocre job. Another called the salesman's pitch about a product outright deceptive. The most serious complaint on file involves floors installed back in spring 2023: the crew came back three times to fix mistakes without actually resolving them, the glue has been seeping from the seams for years, and the floor now lifts and creaks underfoot — the homeowner says the owner told them there was nothing more he could do. Given the scale here — well over a hundred reviews going back to 2020 across seven different sites — the volume of specific, detailed praise for the sales and install teams is real and hard to dismiss. But the floor-failure complaint is serious enough, and recent enough, that anyone considering a bigger job should ask directly how FCI handles callbacks and warranty claims after installation, and get any promises about materials and workmanship in writing before signing.

We had Floor Coverings International (FCI) of Cape Cod replace an old carpet in our bedroom. The did a GREAT job!! We received 2 bids on the job: one from a downtown retail store and the other from FCI. FCI was over $2000 less!! The savings were not in the quality of the materials but in things like furniture move and freight charges. Communication from scheduling the install to actual installation was exceptional. Really pleased with the outcome. Nice job!
