Triple-pane glass at double-pane prices is the pitch, and it is the reason to call this Melrose two-person outfit. DPG Home Improvement sells and installs ready-made and custom replacement windows — including ENERGY STAR and triple-pane units — plus new-construction windows, doors and vinyl siding, and says it covers Greater Boston and the North Shore. Owner Dennis Grynkiewicz started the LLC in May 2014, and the company says he worked for a general contractor beforehand, building and selling houses in Florida for more than five years. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 179900, is active on the state registry. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+, though it has not sought BBB accreditation. The catch is how little anyone has written about the work. One customer, back in July 2020, described two interior doors installed well and exterior doors taken off and reinstalled to fit better than the original job. That is the only review text on file anywhere. Porch credits the company with an average of 5.00 from 17 online ratings and Google shows 5.0 from one, but none of that text is published. Houzz carries five project galleries — a bay window in Chelmsford, casement windows in Reading, a hopper window in Malden, vinyl siding in Westborough and Tewksbury — and has never received a review at all. One oddity worth raising: the Houzz blurb ends by telling readers to contact "Window Depot Boston", a different brand name from the one on the sign. For a straightforward window or siding swap where price per unit matters, this is a reasonable quote to collect. Ask which brand you are actually contracting with, ask for two recent local references given how thin the written record is, and note that the BBB profile says the contract can be refunded up to three business days after signing.
