117 Google reviews, nearly all five stars, and the same detail keeps repeating: a full roof tear-off and replacement finished in a single day. DaSilva Roofing is a Danvers company run by Cesar DaSilva, working roofs across the North Shore — Danvers, Saugus, and the surrounding towns — under an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor license (206330). The history behind that pattern runs deep: 103 reviews have piled up since 2021 across four different sites, and the last six months keep telling the same story. When a rainstorm left one homeowner's roof leaking after a different roofer no-showed for a week, DaSilva came out the next day, priced the job, and had it fixed on schedule. Another customer called about a leaking air vent, and the crew found cupping and sliding shingles nearby and repaired those too rather than stopping at the original ask. In February, Manny and the crew cleared snow and ice dams during a cold snap. One homeowner who collected three competing quotes called DaSilva's the most thorough of the bunch; another got a shed reroofed at no charge just so it would match the house. The one blemish in that recent stretch is a single 1-star Google review — but it describes a high-pressure pitch on a basement window quote from someone named Mike, not the roofing work the rest of the history is about, so it reads like it belongs to a different job or crew entirely and is worth a second look before weighing it against everything else. Past that, the pattern holds steady: reviewers keep mentioning cleanup specifically — nails swept up with a magnet, yards left the way they found them — and a Massachusetts contractor license that checks out as active. DaSilva is the call for a roof that needs doing in a day — a full replacement, a storm-driven repair, a skylight swap — rather than a multi-trade renovation; gutters and fascia work show up as extensions of a roofing job rather than standalone projects. Get the scope and timeline in writing before the crew shows up, and ask about that one outlier review directly if it gives you pause.

Mike did a good job in explaining what we would need to replace our basement windows and presenting their product. However, it felt like a high pressure sales job. I had to decide on the spot in order to get the best price. In addition, the price dropped several times over the 2 hours and 15 minutes he was at my house. He called his boss several times and mysteriously the price would drop again. He even asked me to leave a review on his sales presentation while he was standing there! What??? In looking at many of their other reviews, this appears to be one of their tactics.

Then I got a phone call a couple of days later offering an even better deal if they could come back out. Needless to say, we are not going with this company as we are uncertain why they just couldn’t give us a fair price from the beginning and they wasted so much of our time with a lot of back and forth.

We had a leak after the late May rainstorm, and after contacting a local roofer, who told me he would be over in one week to fix the problem. He never showed up, and after more than a few calls, he never bothered to return our calls or contact me.

A friend highly recommended Cesar DaSilva roofing. She actually contacted Cesar and told him I would be calling, which I did. Cesar was here the next day, looked over the roof, and saw the problems we had. He told me what needed to be done and gave us a price. He was here the next day to complete the work.

The price was great, the service was terrific, and Cesar is a real gentleman. I would recommend him to anyone who needs roof work done.

He came, he saw ,he fixed. Cesar is a proper name for him.

Thank you, Cesar and your crew, for your excellent and prompt service.

Cesar and his team did an excellent job on our roof. He was easy to work with, provided a fair quote, and did high quality work. Thank you so much!

I’d like to thank Cesar and his team for a job that went above my expectations. I initially called because we had an air vent that was potentially leaking. He came out and installed a new one. My roof wasn’t that old but there were a lot of issues with cupping and sliding shingles and they repaired everything. I highly recommend him. His team went above and beyond and didn’t break the bank if you know what I mean.
