The work draws specific, technical praise. In June 2026 a South Amherst homeowner called the crew that spent a week on a whole-home heat pump the most prepared of the dozens of contractors they had had at the house. A March 2025 reviewer who works as a home inspector — someone who sees other people's workmanship for a living — said Clean Air repaired leaking pipes and replaced older, poorly done plumbing at his own home. Mini-splits come up constantly: five heads and two pumps installed in frigid February 2025 weather, a five-head ductless system in March 2024, a Mitsubishi system quoted in April 2023 with a straight answer about which Mass Save rebates were actually attainable. When something breaks they move — an April 2026 caller in a heating emergency had technicians at the house within the hour. The complaints are not about the installation. They are about what happens after it. Four separate customers, writing in December 2022, December 2025 and February 2026, describe the same thing in different words: the job was done, and then nobody answered. One wrote in February 2026 that after $20,000 for a heating and air system they could not get the company that installed it to come service it. Another, in December 2025, said the summer AC install went fine but that calls about the heating system went unreturned. A June 2023 customer was stood up on an appointment both sides had agreed to. Two harder allegations turn up in the reviews and deserve a direct question rather than a shrug. A December 2024 customer downgraded a five-star review to one star two years after the job, writing that no permit was pulled as their contract required and that two independent licensed contractors told them the electrical and plumbing work was not to code. A strong candidate if you want a fast, keenly priced HVAC install from a crew that shows up and cleans up. Before signing, get the permit obligation in writing, confirm directly with the state which licence covers your work, and pin down who services the system afterward and how quickly.
