TruePoint Electric works electrical jobs across the South Shore, and two names keep showing up in the reviews: Chris and Aden. Google puts them at 4.9 stars from 129 ratings, and that holds up over a longer stretch too — the company has picked up 118 reviews across five sites since 2022. This year's reviews lean heavily on speed and communication for everyday jobs: a message sent on a Saturday and the work finished by Wednesday, a breaker malfunction diagnosed and fixed the same day, three smoke alarms swapped out on schedule with no mess left behind. EV chargers come up often enough to look like a specialty — several reviewers specifically mention Tesla wall chargers going in without issue. When a fallen tree knocked out one customer's power, TruePoint had it restored the same day, and multiple reviewers describe returning for more than one project, including someone who says they've now hired Chris for three separate jobs. Two recent reviews cut against that pattern. In March, a customer said TruePoint charged $2,000 for a job, skipped pulling a required town permit, left trash and pipe scraps on the property, and stopped answering calls afterward — a specific, serious complaint, not a vague one. Weeks later, another customer said they were billed $650 to diagnose a single room's power issue and swap one dimmer switch, well above what they expected for the work. A third complaint, about a technician arriving 50 minutes late and charging $328 for a half hour of work, shows up independently on both Google and Angi. The Better Business Bureau lists TruePoint Electric as not rated. For routine electrical work — outlets, lighting, panel troubleshooting, generator hookups, EV chargers — the pattern from Chris and Aden's customers is consistent: they show up, communicate, and leave the space clean. Anyone booking something larger, like a full rewire or panel upgrade, should get a written estimate up front and confirm in writing whether a permit is needed, given the one pointed complaint about a job that skipped that step entirely.

TruePoint consistently delivers high quality, fairly priced electrical work. We have now used them for three projects and will continue to do so in the future.

Great experience! Came out for a thermostat and lights not working - we didn’t realize we had a second breaker box, so he flipped the switch and didn’t charge us. Thank you!!

Professional, good prices, and did a great job. A little slow to respond but they always did eventually respond. Would highly recommend!

Really good experience overall and I’d hire them again without hesitation. I reached out on a Saturday, they got back to me quickly, and the work was done by Wednesday. Pricing was fair and there was no pressure to do more than I wanted. The team was professional, personable, and easy to work with. There was a miscommunication where part of a wall was cut without me realizing ahead of time, which led to dust getting into my bedroom. Not ideal, especially since my cat has asthma. That said, they were very apologetic, made sure everything was patched and cleaned up, and checked in to see how she was doing. Stuff happens but they handled it well and that’s what matters to me.
