Synergy Contracting works the part of a job most homeowners never see: pulling out asbestos and other hazards, taking a space down to its bones, then handing back a swept, finished room. The Lawrence company describes itself as a commercial contractor covering environmental remediation, selective demolition, painting, final cleaning, labor support and material supply across New England, and it says its crews are union. Jeysi Zuniga owns the business — High-Profile interviewed her in March 2021 — and the state's supplier diversity registry confirms the ownership on paper. Synergy holds active Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office certifications as a minority-owned, woman-owned and LGBT-owned business, plus a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certification; the minority- and woman-owned certificates run to 2032. What's absent is any word from customers. Its BuildZoom profile and an unclaimed Procore page both show no reviews at all, so there is no homeowner account of how the crew actually works. The outside references that do exist come from the trade side: a May 2026 LinkedIn post credits the company with carrying a project through every phase, from environmental remediation and demolition to insulation, drywall and the final clean, and it turns up on a Lawrence housing authority contractor listing. BuildZoom lists two Massachusetts licenses for the company — an Asbestos Contractor license #AC001030 and a Home Improvement Contractor registration #197117 issued in October 2025 — but those are BuildZoom's own records, not something confirmed against the state registry. The company separately cites OSHA and ICRA, the infection-control standard used for work inside occupied hospitals and schools. This is a hazardous-materials and demolition outfit, not a remodeler, and everything it publishes about itself points at commercial jobs. If you have asbestos, mold or a gut-demolition problem, it's a reasonable call — ask them to show the asbestos license and the home improvement registration directly, and confirm they take residential work before you go further.
