Almost every review of Right Angle Kitchens names a person rather than a product — Katie most often, sometimes Lisa, sometimes Ken. That is the shape of this business: a design showroom on Brimbal Ave in Beverly that describes itself as a full-service kitchen and bath operation built around custom cabinetry, serving the North Shore. A 2020 profile on clarkeliving.com says Ken Schaefer started the firm in 2006. Houzz files them under cabinetry showrooms. The written history runs from 2020 to this year — eleven Google ratings, every one of them 5 stars, and a 5.0 across sixteen Houzz ratings. What those homeowners describe is design work, and they describe it in detail. In a 2023 review, a client recounted a first consultation where Katie listened to their ideas, came to the house to measure, and drew up the initial plans. A 2025 homeowner was finishing a third project with Lisa — two kitchens, then a bathroom. In January 2025 another credited Ken with fitting a new kitchen into an older house so that, as they put it, it seems like it always was here. This April a client called Katie both a strong designer and a practical one. Worth understanding what you are buying. In a 2024 review, a homeowner who was away during their renovation said Katie worked independently with their own contractor — Right Angle drew and specified the job, someone else built it. A general contractor's 2023 review describes years of working alongside them on kitchen and bath remodels, the same division of labor from the other side. If you want one company to run the whole renovation, ask where their scope ends and who manages the trades. Two other things to pin down. Houzz lists the business in Woburn while the company's own site and its address put it in Beverly, so confirm which showroom you would actually visit. And the history, while unbroken and free of complaints, is not deep: eleven Google ratings over six years, with one arriving in the last six months. Their Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. On r/SalemMA in June, a commenter recommended them for fair pricing and design advice. The right call for a homeowner who wants the layout and the cabinetry figured out properly by someone who will sit down and draw it — and who either has a builder already or is willing to bring one in.
“Right Angle Kitchens had the most fair pricing, best customer service and the best design advice (Katie is incredible).”
I had a wonderful experience consulting with Katie for my kitchen renovation, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a designer who has an incredible eye and truly excels in every aspect of her work.

Katie has brilliant design sense and is also incredibly practical. She knows exactly how to deliver an amazing result while staying within your budget. This was my first major home renovation project and I had a LOT of anxiety about the process. Katie was an absolute lifesaver and put my mind at ease. She took the time to patiently explain how everything works, who does what, and always communicated professionally and timely.

I was so appreciative of her transparency regarding pricing. SHe gave me fantastic, honest advice about what creature features I should (and shouldn't) include to ensure the kitchen perfectly fit my cooking and lifestyle needs, rather than just trying to upsell me. She also connected me with an amazing GC who has the same caring and professional approach to customer care.

If you want a brilliant & trustworthy designer who will advocate for your vision on your budget, I would 10000% recommend working with Katie & Right Angle Kitchens!
Loved working with Right Angle! I’m finishing up my third project with Lisa (bathrooms, first two projects were kitchens) and she is great to work with. She is very responsive and detail oriented, and has great design ideas I wouldn’t think of myself. She was very helpful with our current project when I got overwhelmed with tile selection and she figured out my style and sourced specific options for us, and brought them for us to look at so we didn’t have tile overload. She coordinates with the contractors and all the vendors as needed to make sure everything in the project runs seamlessly. Definitely would recommend!
We had an incredible experience working with Katie from Right Angle kitchens. She was knowledgeable about each step in the process, communicative and clear in her recommendations. The quality of our kitchen is incredible, and everything turned out beautifully, while being reasonably priced. We can not recommend this company enough!
Katie is AWESOME! She had some great design ideas that we incorporated into our remodel. We really appreciated her quick responses and willingness to work with us throughout the process. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to anyone looking for a kitchen remodel and/or design!
Right Angle Kitchen knocked it out of the park! We have an older home with small kitchen and no bathroom on first floor, until Ken and his creativity gave us a fantastic new kitchen that seems like it always was here. Great flow, colors and overall design and quality. We had a lot of windows and doors, a bit of reconfiguring that we would never have thought of, and an incredible layout that all who have seen just adore. Thank you! Excellent work! I highly recommend!
