A homeowner who called RestoreNow after a late-night leak says a crew arrived that same night and had it contained before the water could spread — and some version of that story is most of what people say about this Hanover outfit. RestoreNow runs out of 24 Rockland St and describes itself as a 24/7 property-damage restoration contractor: water, fire, storm and mold, plus the reconstruction that follows, along with lead and asbestos removal, for homes and commercial buildings across the South Shore and into Rhode Island. Massachusetts certifies it as a Women Business Enterprise, active through June 2029. The through-line in its 31 Google ratings, averaging 4.9, isn't the drying equipment — it's the insurance fight. Customer after customer describes the company taking the adjuster off their hands: one this July said they handled the insurer and kept the family informed the whole way; a January 2026 reviewer whose two bathrooms needed extensive repairs after a leak said the manager running the job also pushed the insurance company for a larger payout; a 2024 customer whose house was struck by a falling tree said the same person negotiated "on the level of a public adjuster." The other thing that repeats is names. Chris, Ron and Ryan turn up again and again as the person who actually held a project together — a February 2026 ice-dam leak that had a small crew on the roof within hours, a whole-house rebuild after a fire described in another February 2026 review, a flood reconstruction a homeowner called in March 2025 the most stressful thing they'd been through. Two things are worth weighing. A noticeable share of the five-star reviews aren't from homeowners at all: an engineering firm, a subcontractor, a materials supplier and a self-described partner company all wrote in, praising coordination and organized job sites rather than work at their own house. And the company is younger than the review count suggests — its BBB page, opened in February 2026, is Not Rated and unaccredited, with BBB citing fewer than six months in business and no track record. For a fire or flood loss where the claim is as much work as the repair, this is the kind of shop the people in these reviews say they were relieved to hand it to. Ask which project manager is yours, and get the scope and timeline for the reconstruction phase in writing before the mitigation trucks pull out.
