Massachusetts' Supplier Diversity Office shows both a Minority Business Enterprise and a Women Business Enterprise certification active under certificate 20160284, good through November 2028 — a registry check, not a self-claim. On the trade side, BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts asbestos contractor licence (#AC000865) and a home improvement contractor registration (#186215) for the company; those are BuildZoom's own records rather than something confirmed against the state register. Homeowner reviews are another matter entirely. One Google review exists — a five-star line from June 2024 about a pool job — and BBB, which opened its file in 2017, has published neither a review nor a complaint, which is why it lists the company as Not Rated. The volume sits on the commercial side instead: a claimed Procore profile counts 53 projects, 18 of them active, since the company joined in July 2022, and lists demolition, finish carpentry, flooring and countertops alongside the abatement work. Then there's the thing to ask about directly. A 2021 topclassactions.com report said Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey identified Ray Services among companies that failed to properly remove asbestos from a YMCA in the state. That account is five years old and nothing here says how it was resolved, but it lands squarely on the work they lead with, so raise it before signing anything. For a public agency or a general contractor who needs a certified MBE/WBE abatement sub, the state certifications and the project count are real and checkable. For a homeowner, this is a firm to interview closely: ask how the 2021 asbestos matter ended, pull the current licence numbers straight from the state registry rather than a directory, and ask for recent residential references.
