Born to Move works moves out of the Greater Boston area, and Google shows 4.8 stars across 1,085 ratings β one of the largest local review counts of any mover in the metro. The same crew names come up again and again β Sam, Ben, Eugene, Andrew, Sanzhar β hired for everything from a studio apartment nearby to a full interstate relocation. Recent reviews describe a team that shows up for the hard jobs: a 10-hour packing move through an un-air-conditioned second-floor apartment on a hot day, an international move completed door-to-door in just over 24 hours including border processing, and a Boston-to-South-Carolina move where the same crew loaded the truck, drove the whole way, and unloaded it themselves within a day and a half. Several reviewers say this wasn't their first time hiring the company. The same six months also produced ten negative reviews, and a pattern runs through several of them: money and scheduling promises that didn't hold. One customer says a wall was damaged and the crew was hit with an unannounced $300 late fee; another paid an unexpected $320 on moving day for a Massachusetts-to-New-York move; a third was quoted a price that ended up $225 under what they ultimately paid, having been told travel time was included when it wasn't. One review names the company's founder, Dmitrii, directly, alleging a written $4,000 flat-rate quote for a Texas-to-Indiana move wasn't honored days before pickup. Separately, two reviewers describe a confirmed booking cancelled days ahead of the move, and a three-hour-late arrival where office staff repeatedly claimed the crew was "on the way" when it wasn't. Two more describe damage β including torn clothing and furniture β followed by silence when they asked for photos or a claims process. A move from New York to Boston was also delayed more than two days after the assigned truck broke down while driving up from South Carolina. For a straightforward local move, the crews here get named and praised often enough to trust with the heavy lifting. For anything long-distance or interstate, where several of the complaints cluster, get every fee and the exact truck and crew assignment confirmed in writing before moving day, and keep a paper trail on any damage claim from the start.

Super professional movers Sam, Abyl, and Talgar with dedication and extremely hardworking. Worth every penny we spent on the move. They extended their hours for us to 8pm because of extenuating circumstances we personally had. Would 100% recommend this moving company to anybody looking for professional and efficient movers!!!

Had a large move completed by the company. The movers were great and exceptional at packing the truck safely for all our items. Some damage was done to the walls during the move, but overall the move was efficient. Wanted to give a better view but this event happened. I had ask to delay the drop off for a few hours due to an issue of the new unit. They told me the office would call regarding this issue and they never did so they started after the slight delay. They finally called me once they started moving and informed me that there would be a $300 fee for the late start without any warning. Any attempt to explain the situation regarding them not informing me the potential fee for the later start or the overall situation were not heard.
