Stairhopper Movers has built its Boston reputation on the walk-up job — third- and fourth-floor apartments with no elevator, tight stairwells, narrow streets for the truck. That's the move that shows up again and again in what people write about them, and it's consistently the same story: everything gets wrapped, carried down carefully, and nothing shows up broken. The company has been a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business since 2007, with an A+ rating. On Google, it holds a 5.0-star rating from 6,391 ratings, and across the sources tracked for it, 867 reviews stretch back to 2021 — 756 of them from just the last six months, with none negative in that stretch. The specifics repeat across reviewers who don't know each other. One customer near Boston University described a double third-floor walk-up with no elevator as a job the crew handled without a hitch; another said a fourth-floor walk-up left every piece of furniture wrapped, taken apart, and put back together undamaged. A king bed frame one customer worried about disassembling came apart and went back together without issue. Doors and railings come off when a piece won't fit otherwise, and go back on before the crew leaves. Named movers turn up often enough across separate reviews that it reads as a real team rather than a one-off good day — Adrian, William, Bogdan, and a crew led by Eddy and Richard are each credited by name in different reviews for the same things: on time, careful, and willing to keep working when a job runs long. One review describes a move quoted at four hours stretching to ten because of extra belongings, on a 95-degree July day, with the crew's pace holding through it. On price, several reviewers specifically note that Stairhopper's quote came in below competing estimates they'd collected, and a long-distance move from a South Shore apartment to a house in southern New Hampshire is described as affordable. Nothing in the last six months of reviews surfaces a complaint, a damage claim, or a pricing dispute. For a walk-up move, a tight-stairwell building, or a longer haul out of state, that's a deep and consistent enough history to hire from with confidence; the one thing worth doing yourself, the way the most satisfied customers describe doing, is locking in a written, itemized quote before moving day.

Stairhoppers worked hard to make my love as easy as possible. Ernesto, Mateo, Nestor, Omar and Ernestas all were careful and efficient throughout the whole process they made sure everything was going as expected along the way and didn’t leave until we checked everything. I highly recommend this team and Stairhoppers for your move in the Boston area.

Had such a good experience with stair hopper movers for my move within Boston. They came 30 min earlier than the promised time which is great and finished in around 4 hours. Everything was loaded so so fast and carefully and they paid attention to all the details. No damage on anything and perfectly put together furniture in the end. 10/10 you cannot go wrong with em!
