Worth putting in a bid set for site preparation — clearing a lot, regrading for drainage, or a stone retaining wall — provided you do the checking yourself. Ask for two or three recent local jobs you can go look at, find out who is actually running the machines, and get the scope written down in detail: cut and fill, haul-off of material, and the final grade you are paying for.
