Highlights
- Fast, personable service — recent review praises quick turnaround
- Strong Google rating — 4.5 stars across 16 ratings
- Thin review history — a dozen reviews, all from one source
- Mixed track record — some complaints sit alongside the praise
Mr. Screens is a Quincy, MA outfit built around one job: repairing and replacing window and door screens. On Google it carries a 4.5-star average across 16 ratings, though the history behind that number is modest — a dozen reviews spread from 2022 through 2026, all logged there. The most recent one, posted this spring, calls the crew personable and the turnaround fast. That tracks with most of what's been said about them over the years, but the longer run of reviews isn't uniformly glowing — read together, the tone comes in a bit more mixed than the star average alone suggests, with a few complaints mixed in with the praise. There isn't enough here yet to speak to pricing, licensing, or how they'd handle anything beyond a routine screen job — the available reviews don't go much further than describing the work as quick and friendly. For a straightforward repair or replacement, that's a reasonable amount to go on, but with a small, single-source review history, it's worth asking about turnaround time and cost upfront rather than assuming from the rating alone.

This is my story. My sliding screened door needed rescreening. I live in Needham, and for years Harvey’s Hardware was the place to go for this type of thing and the price was $35-$40. They closed and Needham Garden Center took over most services. I called them and unfortunately, they do not do rescreening. But they gave me the number of Needham local business that does. I called the person named Erik. Aske for the price of rescreening a run of the mill screen door (29” X 78”). He said that it would be $150 with him coming out, picking up the door, rescreening and delivering and installing it back. To which I asked: what if I bring it to him and do the disassembly and installation by myself? His response was: I can take $25 off. I left it at that and proceeded to see what the new door would cost. Home depot has that same door, brand new for $78. I was ready to go get a new door when I decided to give another try looking for rescreen business. And that when I found MR SCREENS. Mind you, I called him on Sunday, he was open. He gave me his address and I removed my door and went to Quincy. I’ll spare you the details of traffic. I got to Quincy, he met me outside. Took the door and after 15 minutes came out with fixed door. Price - $40. This is what I call small business doing great job. In less than 3 hours total, with driving my door is installed and functional. I strongly recommend MR. SCREENS for all your rescreening needs and I will use him again in the future every time I need rescreening done. Thank you
