Very little has been written about this Mattapan excavation and utilities company, and the two accounts that exist point in opposite directions. The Better Business Bureau lists the business as started in November 2015, with eight employees and Leroy Livingston as manager, and gives it an A+ grade without accreditation. Its Angi page, filed as LL & L Excavation & Utilities at the same Wabash Street address, self-reports working since 2011 with 15 years of experience, offering excavation, major grading and resloping, drainage channels, concrete foundation installation and post-construction clean-up. The single Google review, from March 2021, is one star. The customer says the job was never finished and that a gate at the house was taken down, broken, and never put back, with a promised return visit that did not happen. The owner's reply on that review disputes it, saying the customer's own contractor removed the gate. The exchange ends there. The only other account is much older and positive: a 2013 Angi reviewer wrote that the company took its time and did the job right. One thing not to misread — the Angi page prints a 0.0 star average, but that is an artifact of its lone review carrying no star rating, not a score anyone gave them. Two accounts thirteen years apart is not enough to judge an excavation contractor on. If you are considering them for site work, grading or drainage, ask for recent local references you can actually call, and put the scope, the site restoration, and the completion terms in a written contract before anyone digs.
