LaBelle Roofing, Inc. works out of 231 Boston Post Road in Wayland and is the name homeowners around Greater Boston and MetroWest call for roof replacements, repairs and — unusually often — skylights. The company holds a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration (154084) that the state registry currently lists as active, and its BBB profile shows accreditation dating back to 2008 with an A+ grade, a corporation incorporated in 2007 and about ten employees under president Robert A. Labelle. The people who actually hired them describe a crew that moves fast and cleans up after itself. A homeowner writing in March 2026 said the team replaced an entire roof in two days at a reasonable price and that it held through several snowstorms afterward. Earlier accounts run the same way: a 2023 customer had the whole house reroofed with more than twenty skylights and reported no leaks after the first storms, with a fix for one crooked blind handled promptly, and a plumbing company writing in 2023 said LaBelle responds quickly and shows up on time for the roof penetrations its own work requires. A 2023 review credited Matt LaBelle with spotting that the skylights should be replaced along with the roof and taking that up with the customer's insurer. Google shows a 4.8-star average across 69 ratings, and BuildZoom's permit records put the company at 559 listed projects with roughly seventeen permits in the past three years, mostly roofing and skylight jobs around $10,000 — a small operation with a long, steady paper trail rather than a high-volume one. Skylights are the throughline. The company describes itself as a VELUX Signature Skylight Specialist, its BBB services list runs heavily to skylight installation, sun tunnels, curb- and deck-mount units and solar-powered blinds, and review after review is about skylight work rather than shingles alone. Worth raising before you sign: the most recent detailed complaint, from April 2026, came from a customer happy with the roofing and chimney flashing but not the trim — they said they were talked into leaving pieces unreplaced and the result looks unfinished. If your job includes trim, fascia or carpentry around the roofline, get the scope written down specifically rather than left to the crew's judgment on the day. A 2025 commenter also noted the company does not take on new roofs or trusses, so confirm fit if your project is new construction. They are a sensible call for a shingle roof replacement, a flat or low-slope repair, or anything involving skylights on an existing home. Ask for the trim scope in writing, and confirm the HIC registration number on the contract matches the one on file.
“Excellent experience working with LaBelle Roofing for a job in Cambridge. I got three quotes; theirs was the middle one but I quickly discounted the cheapest one as unreliable/unprofessional. No hidden fees or charges. The crew was efficient and took care not to damage my property. Everything was done on the timeline they promised.”
“LaBelle Roofing did solid work for a fair price at my home last fall. They only did my ridge cap, but their cost was exactly in line with my expectations and they got the job done super fast when they got to work.”
The roofing work they did was great, including flashing around chimney, but the trim work wasn’t what I hoped, I got convinced to do an incomplete job and not replace the pieces I wanted replaced, now it looks scrappy and incomplete.
Matt and his team did an incredible job. They replaced our entire roof in just two days at a very reasonable price. We’ve already had a few snowstorms since the install, and the roof is holding up perfectly. It’s great to have a reliable local contractor you can trust!
Labella doesn't do new roofs or trusses that is something that should be on the questioner Please do not sell my information
LaBelle Roofing completed a roof replacement and installed a number of skylights. Matt's estimate was a fair price and proactively realized that our skylights should be replaced as part of the job. Matt LaBelle discussed the issue with our insurance company convincing the company to cover the replacement. The roofing job was completed in under three days. Matt oversaw the job carefully, keeping us up to date on progress. We highly recommend LaBelle Roofing and are very pleased with the result of their work and grateful to Matt for his careful and thoughtful efforts on our behalf.
Labelle reroofed my whole home and installed over 20 skylights. Shortly after installing, there were storms and we didn't have a single leak. When we noticed that one blind was slightly askew, RJ came and fixed it promptly. Their quality, service, and communication is impeccable - all at very competitive rates. I'll be recommending them to all my friends and family. Thank you!
