Home Team Moving's own numbers are hard to ignore: 175 five-star ratings on Google, and its Better Business Bureau file backs that up with an A+ letter grade and BBB accreditation dating back to 2012. The company says it's been locally owned and run out of Lexington since 2011, staffed by its own trained crews rather than subcontractors, and covering Lexington, Arlington, Belmont, Cambridge, Boston, and towns across Greater Boston. Across six review platforms and 86 reviews going back to 2022, the pattern barely wavers — and in just the last six months, none of the eight new reviews turned up negative. What shows up again and again in the recent ones is careful handling of the hard parts of a move: an out-of-state relocation from a 48-year Lexington home that arrived in perfect condition, with 'Matt' credited for the estimate and coordination; a nine-room household split between two destinations, handled by a crew reviewers say was careful with both the furniture and the family's situation; and a phone charger accidentally packed up that the company tracked down and hand-delivered back to the customer's door afterward. Several recent reviewers mention meeting the owner, Ben, in person during the estimate. There isn't much on the downside. The one mildly critical note among the sources found is a reviewer who said Home Team wasn't the first to respond to their inquiry or the cheapest quote they received — worth keeping in mind if speed-to-quote or rock-bottom pricing matters most to you. A separate, independent moving-industry review site scored the company 9.4 out of 10, placing it near the top of movers rated in Massachusetts. Given how deep and recent this track record is — local moves, long-distance relocations, and specialty jobs like piano and white-glove moving for antiques all showing the same pattern — this reads as a company doing consistently solid work across ordinary and complicated moves alike. Before booking, it's still worth locking in a written, itemized estimate, ideally with the in-home walkthrough several reviewers say is standard, so pricing expectations are set before moving day.

This was my first more premium moving experience and I'm honestly blown away! Had no idea what I was missing. Punctual. Predictable. Efficient. Professional. Hard workers. I don't think I heard a single complaint about the heavier items or the fact that the place was a mess. They had good systems in place for reminders and updates. Every single mover we interacted felt like good people. Shaq, Mick, James and the rest of the crew. Seriously is night and day compared to my many previous moves where I'm pretty much uncomfortable the whole time. 10 out of 10 experience all around. Pro tip: We had a couple movers come the day prior to "move day" to help us pack and if your budget or circumstances allow just go for it. On one hand it helped us procrastinate leading up to the move but we felt really really good about doing so. The least stressful move week I've ever had.

We did an out of state move end of April from our Lexington house of 48 yrs to a condo in Kittery, ME. Move out was 2 days before move in. Everyone involved from Home Team was fantastic, from Matt who put together the estimate & coordinated things to the 4 movers who couldn't have been friendlier or more efficient. Everything arrived at final destination in perfect condition. We couldn't have been more pleased with all involved. Would certainly recommend Home Team to anyone hiring a mover.

We had a great overall experience with Home Team Moving. They thoroughly mapped out the move over the phone, and the movers were quick yet still careful with our things. They ensured that I was satisfied with furniture and box placement before leaving. During the move, my phone charger was mistakenly taken. When I alerted the company to this, they tracked it down and personally hand-delivered it to my door. I was appreciative of how communicative they were from start to finish and how they do their work with real integrity.

I had a simple move but staff came in on time and were careful with the furniture to move.

WOW. I don’t really know where to begin with this review. I guess the beginning…I met Ben, the owner of Home Team Movers when he came to give an estimate to my tenant for her move to the next town; plus, a move of some of her items to a storage facility. His relaxed manner was infectious, as he answered every question carefully and fully. His details left no more questions from the group. The day of packing came and by day’s end, everything was packed neatly in the apartment - ready to go. Hard to believe, but moving day was even better. The crew got right to work packing the truck, they worked continuously and made quick work of loading all the boxes into the truck. Someone came and asked me for a broom. He proceeded to sweep up anything and everything from the floor and then walked around with me through each room to make sure I was satisfied with the results of their work. If this wasn’t enough, they asked where I would like the trash bags, so I wouldn’t have to carry them. Ben came by to make sure everything was properly done, which was comforting and reassuring. I guess one of the best things about this move was the attitude of the owner and crew. They were extremely professional, but at the same time, friendly and seemingly happy to be doing their job to the best of their abilities. Thank you so much for making a difficult job look easy and for taking the stress out of moving day. I definitely will use these guys next time I have to move.
