Hadassah Homes sells houses and also fixes them up — sometimes in that order, sometimes the reverse. Run out of a Washington Street office in Lynn, the firm pairs brokerage work with interior design and the unglamorous prep that gets a property to market: cleaning, painting, carpentry. Its Massachusetts real estate broker license is active. The company says broker-owner Esther Summersett is both a Realtor and an interior designer, working alongside Realtor Jessiree Peña, and that it guides buyers toward investment property in the Dominican Republic as well as across Massachusetts. It also states REALTOR® membership and adherence to that code of ethics — its own description of itself, not something confirmed independently. On Google the rating sits at 4.8 across 18 ratings. The most recent review, from late July, comes from someone who called about an apartment listing and got Summersett on the phone; what stuck with them was how fast she answered questions and how steadily she kept them informed while they were still looking at other units. The history behind that number is shallow — seven reviews since 2021, spread across three sources — and it is not uniformly warm. One low-rated review takes the design-and-build side to task: the vision was praised, the follow-through was not. Reviews also discuss the work under the Divine Design name rather than Hadassah Homes, which is worth knowing before you go looking for a fuller picture of the renovation work. If what you want is an agent who can also handle the paint-and-repair punch list before a listing goes live, that pairing is the reason to call. Ask to see recent prep or design projects, get the renovation scope and who is actually doing the labor in writing, and look up the broker license number yourself at the state registry.

I was in the market looking for a new place to live and found an apartment listing online and so I gave the number a call and Ms.Esther Summersett from Hadassah Homes picked up shortly after. Her communication from Day 1 was exceptional and that is always the most important thing for me. She made herself available at any time, she responded quickly to any concerns or questions I had, and kept me informed throughout the whole process. She was also patient and never expressed any frustration with me as she knew that I was looking at other apartments as well. Esther is a fantastic realtor/broker and she's super friendly and kind. This process has been an absolute breeze working with Ms.Esther Summersett and Ms.Jessiree Peña. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment as they have to be one of the best at what they do in the state!

I have waited almost a full year since engaging Divine Design for a Kitchen and Dining room remodel to offer a review. First, to ensure as much objectivity as possible and, second, to be able to report on how the work has held up roughly a year later. To the good, the design vision brought to the project was FANTASTIC. I felt heard with regards to my style preferences and the color/material/texture combinations proposed were--and still are--beautiful. Divine Design had a great vision for my project. Unfortunately, Divine Design's execution on that vision left a LOT to be desired. The Kitchen floor tile had to be re-done multiple times because all the tile grout kept coming up. The Dining room ceiling--a main reason I undertook the remodel in the first place--had to be re-done multiple times as it was visibly bumpy and kept cracking. The paint job on the cabinets, walls and baseboards was shoddy--neither washed nor primed before applying new paint color and the prior color was visible in areas through the thin coats of new paint. Less than a year later the cabinets are already chipping. In these instances, Divine Design had to bring in entirely different contractors to completely re-do floor, ceiling and try to correct painting issues. The second paint contractor did what they could to touch-up the thin spots and tidy unclean paint lines and paint spills from the first contractor. But the touch-ups, visibly, don't *quite* match the new color. Only some of the kitchen electrical plates were replaced, so they do not all match. The dining room table set is cheap...one of the chair legs has already broken. Divine Design's remodel end product just didn't have the professional attention to detail, craftsmanship nor enduring quality one should expect for the amount of money paid. And all the second and third attempts to get the work done made the project take four times longer than initially proposed.

I worked with Divine Design by Hadassah for interior decorating/remodeling of our studio apartment. Esther really has an eye for design! She guided me with colors, furniture and accents to incorporate between our shared bedroom and living room space. She patiently worked with me as I was developing my own sense of style. I'm really thankful that Esther took the time to go shopping with me. She was honest, she listened and understood my goals. She made me feel so comfortable. That's going above and beyond. I'm happy with the changes that were made to our apartment. I'd definitely use Divine Designs by Hadassah Services again!
