He is the one who comes out to measure, and the pattern people describe is the same each time — a site visit within days, priced options laid out, a written quote that matches what was said in the driveway. The Westborough company installs, repairs and removes fence in wood, vinyl, aluminum, steel and chain link, and also does gates, railings, guard rail, arbors and pergolas. Its BBB page carries an A+ and accreditation going back to January 2021. When the work goes well, it goes well quickly: 102 Google ratings averaging 4.8, and crews that reviewers say arrive on time and leave the site clean. A homeowner who needed 200 feet of fence around a pool after storm damage got three detailed quotes and the job finished in two days, writing in 2024. Another, in October 2025, had tree stumps in the way and said the two installers worked around them. Repeat calls are common — one customer writing in April 2025 was on their second fence with the same crew, and a 2024 reviewer with an issue on a gate and posts got an on-site evaluation and a repair. The other side of the ledger is recent. Of 17 reviews in the last six months, three are negative, and the sharpest is serious: a July 2026 customer says a 50% deposit was taken for a fence repair that was never performed and never refunded, through repeated calls and emails. In June 2026 a homeowner whose fence Fence 101 had originally installed wanted it moved and described calling several times and a scheduled visit nobody attended. Even a July 2026 reviewer who praised the crew for working two days in extreme heat spent most of the review on the weeks of silence before installation, and back in 2023 someone walked away after getting a "fix fence" contract with no detail and no reply to their questions. Separately, a July 2026 commenter — a bystander, not a customer — objected to the crew spray painting a park fence while children were in the park. So: strong on the front half of a job — showing up, quoting fairly, building it well — and uneven on the back half, particularly status updates and follow-up once money has changed hands. Massachusetts exempts fencing-only contractors from home improvement contractor registration, so there is no state badge to check here. Get the install window, the deposit amount and the refund terms in writing before you sign, and ask what happens if material arrives late.
