Eyles Contracting works out of 65 Airport Rd in Fitchburg and holds a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, number 124634, verified active against the state registry. Its Better Business Bureau profile carries an A+ grade and accredited status, and the trade it is hired for above all others is full roof replacement on houses, condominium buildings and the occasional commercial property. The single thing customers describe most often is speed without mess. A January 2026 homeowner said the crew stripped the original shingles, laid a new deck and shingled the house in one day with all debris removed and the property left in better condition than they found it. A 2025 customer expecting a two-day job got it done in one with the yard and driveway spotless; another that year described a 7am-to-5pm day covering tear-off, patching damaged decking, new shingles and flashing. A September 2024 reviewer who had to have solar panels pulled said Eyles arrived the next day, brought ten people and finished a three-section roof in twelve hours, with the dumpster gone the following day. The same names keep coming up: John Flanagan on estimates, Mike as project manager, Manny on the installing crew, and owner Robert Eyles. A 2025 condominium association wrote that Robert phased the roofs on 109 units plus a clubhouse across several years to fit their budget. A 2025 homeowner noted the company took no deposit and waited until the job was complete to be paid. A 2023 customer with a high-slope, unventilated roof said they walked through 10-, 25- and 30-year warranty options line by line and quoted 10 to 20 percent under what they had been led to expect. Google shows a 4.9 average from 136 ratings across 114 reviews on file, and the record runs from 2021 to 2026 — deep and consistent enough to take at face value. The part to press on is scheduling. A May 2026 reviewer wrote that it took more than four calls and messages to reach anyone, that Mike cancelled two hours before the appointment and would apparently not have made contact at all had the customer not chased him, and that the roofers who eventually came arrived twenty minutes late and were not briefed on the gas-furnace vent question that had been raised in advance. A 2023 reviewer, otherwise very positive, also found a few nails scattered around after cleanup. For a straightforward tear-off and re-roof in Central Massachusetts — or a phased job on a multi-building association — this is a licensed, long-established crew with an unusually consistent record for one-day work and thorough cleanup. Pin down who your point of contact is and get the appointment confirmed in writing before the day.
“I have a quote from Eyles contracting in Fitchburg for $6k for my home's roof. Not sure what their service area is though.”
Very professional and great work done.
Absolutely the best! I've worked with a lot of contractors and several roofers for homes I've needed work done on, and Eyles stands out as the most professional, experienced, and capable of any I've worked with.
Stripped and roofed both of the roofs on my house and re plywood sheated them in 2 days and left my property like anyone was ever here.. Thank you Eyles Roofing for an amazing job and great Pricing! Definitely Recommended Andre' LaVertue Athol Ma.
Things went really well. Communication was good and the crew was polite and worked all day
It took me over 4 phone calls/left messages to get in contact with anyone to schedule an appointment. Mike canceled on me 2hours before the appointment, I reached out to him to confirm and he canceled. Meaning if I didn’t reach out, no one would’ve shown up or contacted me. He sends roofers last-minute to my house to look at the leak in my ceiling…I needed someone to evaluate the screws/support in the vent for my gas furnace. All of this information was relayed ahead of time. The roofers arrived 20min late. The city of Fitchburg gas inspector was at my house to discuss the issue with them, and he left because the roofers didn’t know how to address or fix the issue. Complete waste of my time as well as the gas inspectors.
