Metal, and only metal. East Coast Metal Roofing works out of a yard on Sutton Ave in Oxford and sells one thing — aluminum shingle roofing systems — and the price comes up in the reviews about as often as the product does. The volume behind it is real: 517 Google ratings averaging 4.8, another 82 on Angi averaging 4.9, and a written history running 2021 to 2026 across seven sources. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and its BBB page carries an A+ with accreditation. Read enough of those reviews and one pattern dominates — the office. The same names repeat, Jenna and Milena in the office, Shaun in quality control, and homeowners keep describing the same choreography: material delivery, dumpster drop, a start date that holds. Installs run short. Two days, three days, one day on a smaller roof. A homeowner writing in June 2026 said a six-week estimate landed exactly where the salesman said it would. Then the parts worth asking about. Cleanup is the recurring snag: an October 2025 customer who was otherwise pleased found piles of nails left in the grass with dogs and grandchildren around, and a June 2026 customer rated the job 2 stars over roofing debris that stayed in the yard after a snow-season install, saying his follow-up calls got "we will get back to you." The warranty is the harder question. In February 2026 a homeowner whose two-year-old roof started leaking said the company refused the claim, calling it ice-dam damage and an act of god outside coverage. Other customers describe the warranty doing its job: a January 2026 reviewer had wind-loosened metal around a skylight repaired inside a day, and a December 2025 buyer of a house with an ECMR roof had the warranty transferred in under a week. Price is the third thing. A January 2026 commenter argued the per-square price runs far above what other roofers charge for the same square footage; a February 2026 customer put his own job at $35,000, and a September 2025 customer paid extra when the deck needed new plywood — flagged up front, he said, but still extra. This is the call for someone buying a roof for the next fifty years rather than the next fifteen. Before signing, get the warranty exclusions in writing, ask what ice dams and storm damage do to coverage, ask how the crew handles nail cleanup, and confirm what a plywood deck replacement would add.
From beginning to end, this was a fabulous experience! Ian came to do the estimate. He was kind and funny and really listened to our needs and concerns. There was absolutely NO pressure to purchase the roof, which is something I look for when making a big purchase. Jenna, the office manager, was communicative every step of the way, answering my million questions and letting us know what next steps were. The crew was amazing-smiling and singing for much of the time they were working. They were courteous and VERY clean, picking up absolutely everything before they left each day (nails and scraps of roof debris that didn’t quite make it to the dumpster, etc.). Alex, the crew leader, kept the crew happy and healthy (eg. making sure they had lots of water and keeping them home when the air quality was unhealthy), and Keith, the quality control inspector, was on site to make sure we were happy with the work and the experience before they left on the last day. I would use them again without hesitation. Just fabulous!! And the roof is stunning!! Neighbors keep stopping to comment on it. Thank you SO much!!
Taft kept in contact and made sure everything was here Shawn came up and checked progress on the job and straightened shades in skylights Jenna was most helpful getting the dumpster on the job seeing it wasn’t there Jenna was my contact person Thank you Paul was our first sales person he would have been happier if we went with metal (or we took him fishing) Patrick was very helpful connecting the boat to get it out of the way
My new roof looks amazing! Even better than the images online. And the team that came out to do the work was quick, professional, and friendly. They even worked during a heat wave, and my roof was done way faster than I was expecting! Seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience, highly highly recommend!
Excellent service from start to finish !! Love love love the look and quality of our new roof! True professionals!!
From start to finish my experience with East Coast Metal Roof was amazing. Beau came over and explained the entire process from start to finish. The communication from the office (Sean, Jenna & Tabatha) was great as we had to push the start date a number of times due to my end. What amazed me the most was George & the crew!! These guys came in and were the hardest working team ever. Not only did they leave the property cleaner than it was before the got there, but the craftsmanship was impeccable. Thank you, Paul for a great customer experience.
