Seventy years in, and Connell Roofing still gets found the same way — a tree comes down, the ice dams back up, and somebody's neighbor hands over the number. After February's storms, president Benjamin Connell told the Boston Globe his crews came out of the first week with more than 500 missed calls to return, working past ten at night and through weekends to reach people. The Wrentham company does roofs first — replacement, repair, storm work — and carries the rest of the envelope with it: siding, windows, doors, skylights, gutters and trim. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. What runs through the reviews is not a slogan but a cast of names. Matt Cabral, Brian Bigelow, John, Vinnie, Junior — homeowners write about the specific person who kept them in the loop, and they write it over and over. A June 2026 customer had the house and garage roofs plus the trim boards done in two and a half days, old plywood out, waterproofing and shingles on. In January 2026 someone with a hole in an addition roof described calling around and finding no company willing even to look at the job before Connell took it. A July 2026 homeowner whose roof and gutters were hit by a tree in the February blizzard called the work competitively priced and the project manager responsive. The one sharp break in that pattern is a repair-and-restoration job. A September 2025 reviewer, whose house was struck by a falling tree in December 2023, left a one-star account warning others not to hand over the final payment until every item is finished to their satisfaction. The Better Business Bureau shows two complaints on file; its grade is an A, accredited since August 2025. Volume lately is heavy and one-sided: 46 reviews in the last six months with no negatives among them, on a 4.9 Google average across 318 ratings. Angi and its HomeAdvisor twin both sit at 4.5 from the same 56 reviews. Call them for the roof — a replacement, storm damage, a leak that needs looking at this week. If you are hiring them for a broader multi-trade restoration instead, put the punch list in writing and hold a defined slice of the final payment against it.
