Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Carlo Bonito. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

Typical electrical project around $820
The fullest account of Carlo Bonito's work is a July 2019 review that reads like an inventory: a panel taken to 209 amps, every light in a hundred-year-old house replaced, every outlet swapped for tamper-resistant, new under-cabinet lighting — and, the reviewer noted, a wireless remote device for the living room instead of opening up the walls to run a switch. That last detail is the one that tells you something: he looked for the cheaper way. The rest runs in the same direction. In October 2018 a customer wrote that Carlo and his team communicated at every step, showed up on time, cleaned up everything and checked they were happy. In March 2018 another described him arriving exactly when he said he would, diagnosing that the fault was probably out on the utility pole, and charging nothing for a job that turned out not to be his — they said they would call him again anyway. By July 2022 the verdict had shortened to five words: "The best electrician I ever hired." He surfaced again in April 2025, when a r/malden commenter looking for someone to take small electrical jobs offered his name — "Super good guy" — though they placed him in Everett rather than Saugus. The number to read carefully is the 5.0 from 22 ratings that Angi and HomeAdvisor both carry: it is one listing shown twice, not two independent records, and the written reviews behind it stop in 2022. His work is described as panel installations and upgrades, with 15 years of experience stated. A good fit for a panel upgrade or a whole-house rewire around Saugus and the towns just south of it. Since the written record is now several years old, ask for recent references and confirm the licence number when you call.
“Carlo Bonito…in Everett, I think? Super good guy. DM me and I can find his number for you.”
The best electrician I ever hired.
Carlo and his team upgraded our entire home. Here is some examples: 1. panel to 209 amps 2. replaced every light in our 100 year old home 3. replaced every outlet (with tamper resistant) and light switchs 4. added and replaced under cabinet lighting So much more, there wasn't one area of the house that wasn't added, replaced or upgraded. Carlo came up with innovative and cost saving ideas for us. For example, adding a wireless remote device for our livingroom instead of opening up our walls to add a switch. Carlo is professional, respectful, pleasant, efficient, innovative and easy to work with and to talk to. Carlo has a team of electricians that are respectful, professional, pleasant and efficient. They cleaned up after every area they finished. i highly recommend Carlo!
I can't say enough good things about Carlo and his team. They communicated with me every step of the way, showed up on time, did the work extremely well, cleaned up everything, and wanted to be sure we were happy with their work. Exceptional electrician. Highly recommended.
I would highly recommend Carlo Bonito, Master Electrician. Carlo was prompt, courteous, and thorough in his explanation in what work may need to be performed at our home. Carlo responded quickly, both via email and phone, regarding the service call, and he appeared at our door at the time he specified. As it turned out, we did not need the particular service that he he originally thought, because Carlo suspected the problem may be outside on a utility pole. While we did not need Carlo at this time, we would certainly contact him for any electrical needs in the future.
