Read enough of Boardwalk Properties' reviews and you stop reading about a company at all — you start reading about individual agents. One name, Casey Pak, turns up again and again across the last six months; others, including Liseth Lopez, Akasya Surmeli and Angelo Tratsis, collect their own thank-yous. The office sits at 1518 Tremont St in Mission Hill and works the Boston rental market, where its Google page carries 4.8 stars across 311 ratings. What renters describe is speed under pressure. One tenant had toured roughly ten apartments and been ghosted by realtors before landing here. Another was moving from Maryland and needed a place found from out of state. A third wanted a three-bedroom that would take a cat and a car, and ended up with pet-friendly housing and driveway parking. A parent who inquired about a Boston Pads listing for a college-aged daughter said the agent asked about budget and deal-breakers before scheduling a single showing. It runs both directions. Landlords appear in the recent reviews too: an Allston condo owner had qualified applicants lined up within days of first contact, and a Mission Hill owner had the tenant search and paperwork carried through to signing. Tenants and owners praising the same agents is a useful thing to see in a rental brokerage. The sour note is recent and specific. In February 2026 a client left one star and described being told — rather than asked — that a showing would take place at 9:30 a.m., without a mutually agreed time, and named the agent involved. It is one complaint against a long run of five-star ones, but it lands on the part of the process a renter controls least. Which points to the practical thing: here, who you get matters. The praise is written to particular agents, not to a front desk, so ask to be matched with someone before you hand over a weekend to showings, and confirm appointment times in writing rather than accepting a slot handed to you. The company is also listed as a member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce. If you are relocating to Boston on a compressed timeline — from out of state, with pets, or on a student's calendar — this is an office built for that. Owners with a unit to fill are getting served here as well. Settle your agent, your budget ceiling and your showing schedule before anything else.

I had the privilege of working with Casey Pak to find my apartment last year & this year. She is quick to respond, answer any questions and is patient. She gives a ton of options when it comes to your wants and needs about the location & apartment. Casey is also super honest about every property and gives every detail. Casey has been great to work with and I recommend her to anyone looking for properties in the Boston area!☺️

Casey Pak helped me obtain a 3 bed apartment for an amazing price in the greater Boston area! Was able to keep my cat + car with me because she connected me to a pet friendly home along with driveway parking in a convenient location. Super responsive and answered any questions with zero judgment. She is the kind of person anybody would feel comfortable with sharing what they are looking for.

I connected with Akasya Surmeli when I inquired about a listing on Boston Pads looking for an apartment for my College aged daughter. She asked the important questions about our wants, needs, budget, and more importantly our deal breakers. She immediately went to work to schedule showings for us, not only on short notice but on the July 4th holiday AND knowing that I was only going to be in Boston for 2 days. She set up 12 quality showings for Thursday and 3 for Friday! She met us at the first showing and drove us around to the rest! She even had waters ready for us. I am a licensed CT realtor and let me tell you, showing apartments in Boston (in 95+ degree heat no less) is quite different than homes in Litchfield County! Dealing with landlords and tenants is not an easy task. Yet Akasya handles it with grace! She is knowledgeable, professional and it is clear she cares about what she does. I highly recommend Akasya Surmeli!

Searching for an apartment in the Boston area was honestly incredibly difficult. I must have toured around 10 places. Only to have realtors ghost me, sign contracts the same day I toured with others, or show me properties with rats, cockroaches, etc. Finding Casey Pak was a god send! She has been incredibly responsive, professional, and courteous. Within 48 hours she showed an apartment that fit my location, price, and feature set perfectly. I can't recommend her enough.
