All My Sons Moving & Storage runs a Boston-area branch, based in Stoneham, of a national moving franchise, hired for local residential and apartment moves. On Google it holds 4.4 stars from more than 1,700 ratings, and the crews themselves earn real, specific praise — a July 5 review names Brian, Jamie, and Johnny for handling a move with "attention to detail at every step," down to setting up the couch exactly where asked. But the last several months brought a real cluster of serious, detailed complaints, and they're not vague ones. A July 18 review accuses the company of theft and fraud, describing stolen items and a lengthy rebuttal document the company allegedly sent to the reviewer's credit card company. Other recent reviews describe a 30-minute-late arrival followed by a charge of double the original quote, a move canceled the morning it was scheduled after being confirmed two days prior, and a Boston-area office review where a crew never showed up for a scheduled Sunday move and got pushed to Thursday instead. A separate March review makes the split explicit: it praises two named movers by name while calling the company's packing-supply and fuel charges "overpriced" and "gouging" — a pattern echoed in a January review describing fuel surcharges billed as a percentage of the total bill rather than actual mileage. One June reviewer went so far as to urge readers to discount the 5-star reviews and pay closer attention to the lower-rated ones. Worth confirming before booking: get the crew size and truck size in writing, ask for an itemized breakdown of packing-supply and fuel charges up front, and get a direct line to whichever office is handling your specific move — several complaints center on quotes that changed once the truck arrived and on no one calling when plans shifted. This is a high-volume, well-established name that clearly works out fine for most customers who use it, and the individual crews get named and thanked often. But the recent run of theft, overcharging, and no-show complaints is substantial enough that it's worth pinning down pricing and scheduling specifics in writing before you commit.

THEFT! DAMAGE! OVER CHARGING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FRAUD UPDATE:
Following my original review, the company posted a public response. However, it did not address the actual issues and sent a 30 page document to my credit card company LYING I had to call my insurance company. They told my credit card company that I was double dipping they stole my father’s vintage clocks and wrote to my credit card company that my insurance company told them I was double dipping and I’m happy to post it below.!!!!

I have contacted All My Sons Moving & Storage multiple times and was told this matter would be handled. It has not been. I still have missing personal property, was forced to hire another company at my own expense to access and reorganize my storage unit, and I have not been reimbursed.

A general apology is not a resolution. There has been no direct follow-up, no accountability, and no attempt to correct what happened.

At this point, despite repeated outreach, the situation remains unresolved. I am still not fully relocated as a result of how this move was handled.

Consumers should be aware that when issues are raised, a public apology does not necessarily mean action is taken behind the scenes. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend documenting everything and understanding your rights if something goes wrong.
IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS, TIME AND MONEY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY: THEFT DAMAGE ABUSE. Negative reviews listed ALL OVER INTERNET …DO YOUR HOME WORK …NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
Buyer Beware – Disorganized, Costly, and Unacceptable Handling of My Move

I would strongly caution anyone considering All My Sons Moving & Storage based on my experience.

My move on February 18 was handled in a way that created months of disruption, financial loss, and ongoing stress. Despite walking the crew through exactly what was to go to my apartment, what was to go into storage, and what was to be discarded, none of those instructions were followed.

Items that were clearly separated and labeled were indiscriminately packed and thrown into a 10x20 storage unit, floor to ceiling, with no organization. Things meant for my apartment ended up buried in storage. Trash—including actual trash cans—was packed and stored. Items that should never have left the property were taken. At the same time, items that were supposed to come with me were mistakenly given away.

The result? I spent months going through every single box, at my own expense and time, trying to undo the damage. I had to hire additional movers just to make the unit accessible and reorganize what should have been handled correctly the first time.

Most concerning, valuable and deeply sentimental items—my father’s vintage clocks—are missing. I have gone through every box. They are not there.

The billing process only added to the pressure. Payment was demanded before unloading, leaving me with no real ability to dispute what was happening in real time. Costs escalated dramatically, and I later received additional charges that did not reflect the actual scope or condition of the move.

What should have been a straightforward relocation turned into a prolonged, expensive, and emotionally exhausting situation. I also lost work time due to the disorganization and the need to fix what was done.

This experience raises serious concerns about:
• Lack of adherence to clear customer instructions
• Mishandling and loss of personal property
• Disorganized and negligent packing practices
• Questionable billing and pressure tactics
• Failure to provide any meaningful resolution afterward

I am still not fully and properly relocated as a result of how this move was handled.

Bottom line: This was not just inconvenient—it was costly, disruptive, and unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

From the moment the crew arrived, July 1, 2026, until we ended unloading at my new place few towns over, Brian, Jamie and Johnny were outstanding! They moved quickly with attention to detail at every step, they were so kind to me into my big black lab. Even set up my couch in the living room, wherever I wanted and set up my two bureaus and my bed in my bedroom wherever I wanted. They brought every single thing and they helped me pack the stuff that I had out. I will be using them again shortly and I can't say enough use them. They rock and they are worth every penny.Thank you ALL MY SONS!
