Acme Abatement is the crew that goes in before the wrecking crew. The Seekonk company strips asbestos out of houses and buildings ahead of demolition and handles the interior teardown that follows — asbestos removal, hazardous-material disposal and interior demolition are the three lines it lists for itself. It has been at it since 2005, incorporated that February, with Seng An Meas as president and Veasna Neth as operations manager, and about 15 employees on its BBB profile. The state's Supplier Diversity Office lists its minority business enterprise certification as active through December 2026. What homeowners have written is thin but consistent. Both Google reviews on file are 5★ and both describe the same thing: a team that shows up when it said it would and leaves the place clean. In a 2025 review, a homeowner had asbestos pulled before a cottage came down and called the work efficient and reasonably priced. Another, writing in 2024, said the crew was thorough and careful — "no footprints or dirt left behind" — and named Andy as the person on site. Three Google ratings in total is a small base on which to judge two decades of work. Two things deserve a question before you sign. Good Jobs First's Violation Tracker lists a $14,197 wage-and-hour penalty from the Massachusetts Attorney General dated November 2018 — a state agency action against the company, not a customer complaint. And a 2016 legal write-up of the Appeals Court decision in Acme Abatement Contractor v. S&R Corporation describes a subcontractor who refused disputed work and walked off the job, with the court affirming summary judgment for the general contractor. Both are years old and neither concerns residential work, but together they say something about how the company handles a disagreement mid-job. For a straightforward abatement-then-demo job on a house, the two homeowners who wrote in got what they were after: on time, tidy, fairly priced. Get the scope, the disposal plan and the process for changed or disputed work down in writing before the crew starts.

Peak and his team did a fantastic job removing asbestos prior to the demolition of my cottage. On time, efficient, clean, personable and very reasonably priced. I can't thank ACME enough!
Andy and his team are terrific. They've done excellent work on my house; they're thorough and on time; clean and careful -- no footprints or dirt left behind; they do a great job and they're pleasant to have in my home. To top it all off, Andy's prices are reasonable which gives me even more confidence in him and all the guys on his team. They managed to get here quickly after the asbestos was discovered recognizing how dangerous it is and how imperative it is to abate asbestos as soon as it's found. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
