Claiming your business
How a contractor claims their Tavlee listing: sign in, prove your identity, prove your authority to represent the business, and get approved.

If a contractor page is your business, you can claim it. Claiming verifies that you are who you say you are and that you’re authorized to represent the business — after which you can manage the listing. It’s a manual review, not an automatic switch, because the badge on a claimed page is meant to actually mean something.
Start the claim
On your contractor page, use the “Is this your business?” link to open the claim flow. You’ll need to sign in first (or create an account). The first person to successfully claim a business becomes its owner; anyone who claims it afterward joins as a manager.
Step 1 — Prove your identity
Upload a government-issued photo ID and a selfie. These are encrypted, seen only by the review team, and used solely to confirm it’s really you. They are not shown on your public page.
Step 2 — Prove your authority
Show that you’re authorized to represent the business by providing a public web page that lists you at the company — for example a team or contact page — along with an optional note for the reviewer.
Review and approval
- Once both steps are in, your claim goes to the review team and shows as In review.
- Approval usually takes about a day or two. You’ll get an email when it’s approved or rejected — and if something needs fixing, you can update your filing and resubmit.
- After approval, your listing appears under Your businesses and you can open its dashboard.
A note on licenses
Claiming is separate from Tavlee’s state-license verification. Verifying a license confirms a business is licensed; claiming confirms that yourepresent that business. Having a license doesn’t claim the page, and claiming the page doesn’t change the license shown on it.
