Windsor builds what it sells. The company says it started in 1978 in a 600-square-foot shop in Everett and now runs a 25,000-square-foot automated mill in Malden — CNC machinery, a full finish department, a thermoforming oven for Corian and solid surface — and that it covered the plant's power with more than half an acre of solar panels in 2015. That manufacturing base is the reason to call them. Its work splits between commercial millwork for corporate, healthcare and education projects and residential cabinetry, and on Houzz it presents as a kitchen-design and cabinet shop carrying six lines from builder's grade to full custom, with typical jobs listed between $4,000 and $50,000. The company states membership in the Architectural Woodwork Institute, the Wood Products Manufacturers Association and the NKBA, and says its shop is FSC certified; Houzz lists the AWI membership and FSC certification too. The customer accounts on file are warm and specific, and they are a decade old. All three name the same designer, Mike Moscaritolo. In a January 2015 review, a homeowner described a kitchen built, finished and installed by Windsor, down to a coffee maker hidden on a pull-out in the pantry cabinet. A December 2014 reviewer redoing a small condo kitchen around a structural column said the design gained her an extra cabinet and full-height uppers, with deeper upper cabinets at no extra cost on the Ultracraft line. Another December 2014 customer building a new home said Windsor's team worked cleanly alongside their general contractor and the installation went off without a hitch. In July 2024, a Reddit commenter in r/Brookline recommended them for the same reason — that they manufacture on site and can help with the design. The one negative is not from a customer. In December 2025 a neighbour left one star over crews arriving at 5:30 in the morning with loud music playing in the parking lot. That is a good thing to raise if you live nearby, and it explains why Google sits at 3.6 across five ratings while Houzz shows 5.0 across three. The right call for a homeowner who wants cabinetry actually made rather than ordered, and who has a general contractor to coordinate the rest — Windsor lists installation and GC referrals, not full remodeling. Ask who your designer will be and where your line falls in that $4,000-$50,000 range.
“I recommend Windsor Architectural Woodworking in Malden. They manufacture some of the things they sell on-site. They specialize in kitchens and can pretty much build you whatever you want and can help with the design process.”
Do you think is fair that your workers come at 5:30 am so the loud music in their car in to your parking lote disturbing the whole neighborhood every single day ??? Please tell your people who’s they need to respect the neighborhood especially at 5:30 in the morning
I recently had Windsor build, complete and install my dream kitchen. Mike was there from start to finish, and helped me put my thoughts and ideas into a reality. He was readily available and took the time to listen to my needs. It is everything I could ask for and then some. Especially love the hidden coffee maker on a roll out in the pantry cabinet. Lynn M.
I contacted Mike M at Windsor to help redo a small condo kitchen. No room to expand or really change the layout much. My kitchen also has a corner structual column that had to stay. Mike was extremely patient, listened to my needs, wants and what I liked and made it work! I was able to gain an extra cabinet along with cabinets to the ceiling which created lots more storage. I used Ultra Craft cabinet line which also gave me deeper upper cabinets with no cost extra. That was a big plus! I have recommended Mike to others and all have been very happy with their results. I would not hesitate to use Mike at Windsor again. I also had beautiful Quartzite counters installed by Select Stone Billerica through Mikes recommendation and I am extremely happy. Pati was great to work with. She knows her stone. We have friends that used Select Stone also with wonderful results. I'd give Mike from Windsor and Pati from Select Stone an A+ Very happy with my new kitchen.
Earlier this year, my wife and I began construction on a new home. When it was time to select a company to do the cabinetry work, we considered a couple of firms and decided to move forward with Windsor Architectural Woodworking. The primary reason was the attentiveness and professionalism demonstrated to us by Mike Moscaritolo. As we needed to be guided through the process, Mike was very clear and concise about the products we might consider and established a time line that practical and timely. Their team worked very well with our general contractor and installation came off without a hitch. I would not hesitate to use Windsor Architectural again and am happy to highly recommend them!
