Ten Google ratings average 2.2, and every written one is about the company's trucks rather than its building. A driver in January 2026 said Truck 592 cut them off on the highway; a June 2025 account described a 45-gallon barrel bouncing out of a red pickup on Route 95, with a white sedan swerving clear. Two more complaints landed in the first months of 2026. Those are real and they are current. They describe conduct on the road. What WES builds is public infrastructure. The company calls itself a third-generation, family-owned general contractor in Halifax that self-performs its own site work across building, park, athletic-facility and water and wastewater treatment projects. It says brothers William, Eugene, Stephen and Edward Vogel founded it in 1949 and that the same family has owned it ever since — 77 years by its own count. Construction Equipment Guide, writing in August 2025, named it the general contractor on Middleborough's $33 million East Grove Street water treatment plant, with GHD USA as the owner's project manager. So the shape here is a municipal and commercial builder working at eight-figure scale, not a residential remodeler. A homeowner after a kitchen or an addition is in the wrong place. For a town, engineer or owner's project manager weighing a bid, the driving complaints are still worth raising directly — ask about fleet safety policy and how road-conduct reports get handled, since two of them are from 2026 and one describes a load leaving a truck bed on a live highway. Then do what you would on any public job: ask for references from recent work, the Middleborough plant among them, and call them yourself.
“The new treatment plant's general contractor is Halifax-based WES Construction Corp., and GHD USA in Burlington, Mass., serves as the owner's project manager.”
If your company is driving billboards your drivers may want to follow traffic laws. Not pass a line of vehicles in a well marked right turn only lane to turn into a business after the intersection.
Terrible distracted driver 2/13/26 on 495 south 6am. And then was road raging and going different speeds with highbeams on, definitely a mental issue would not trust.
Horrible drivers - Truck 592 cut me off on the highway and could’ve caused a serious accident. Please remember that people might have babies in the backseat!!!!
Lunatic drivers. Was driving north on 95 earlier this week and one of their red pickup trucks goes flying by. As they passed one of the two 45gal black metal barrels goes flying out the back of the truck into the roadway. Luckily it didn’t hit anyone or anything, but a white sedan had to swerve out of the way to avoid it. Pickup truck driver tapped the brakes and seemed to realize he lost something but kept on going and got off in Newburyport.
