Hand TrueFix a to-do list and they tend to clear it in a visit or two — that is the through-line running through their reviews. It is a Wakefield handyman and home-repair outfit, run by Keith Forlizzi, that homeowners call for the mixed bag of jobs bigger contractors won't bother with: a storm door, some loose siding, a recaulked tub, a swapped deck board. The company says it has 20-plus years in carpentry and home construction across the towns north of Boston, though that history is its own claim rather than anything verified here. The volume behind the reputation is real: 4.9 stars from 68 Google ratings, 5.0 from 20 on Thumbtack, and 4.9 on Angi, with the last six months adding a steady run of new reviews and no complaints among them. Recent jobs people describe are exactly that grab bag — a composite deck and brick patio repaired cleanly, an oven fixed the morning it was called in, staircase spindles pulled and reset when another installer couldn't handle that part, and a storm door that needed an unexpected jamb-and-trim rebuild before it would fit. A few names recur in a good way: Guil, Miguel and Manuel on the tools, and an operations manager, Lindsay, whom one condo owner credited with keeping a long punch list on schedule. A couple of things are worth raising before you book. One recent four-star reviewer was left waiting on cabinet adjustments a technician still owed and hadn't come back to finish, so pin down who closes out any loose ends. TrueFix isn't BBB-accredited and has a single complaint on file there over three years, which the business answered. The license question matters most. The company and its Angi listing cite a Massachusetts construction-supervisor license, CS-088561, but that number is self-reported on those directories and hasn't been confirmed against the state registry here — ask to see it directly if your job needs licensed work. For a homeowner sitting on a stack of small-to-midsize repairs — carpentry, doors and windows, siding, decks, a tub or backsplash — TrueFix is a sensible call, with a deep and consistent recent history behind it. Confirm the license, and get the scope and any follow-up visits in writing, and you'll know what you're getting.

TrueFix did a fantastic job on repairing our composite deck and brick patio. The workers were very respectful and knowledgeable. They took great care with removing and replacing existing boards on the deck. We would definitely use them again for any future household repairs.

Truefix Services came to my home to do a number of household repairs and to install a new storm door. The crew did a great job with all of the items on their list, taking care to clean up afterward. The storm door involved an unexpected modification due to a section of door jamb and trim that needed replacing before the door could be installed. The exceptional crew did everything in just one day and for a reasonable price. I would definitely hire them again to do other jobs if needed.
