PGM Handyman and Construction Services reads like the call for practical carpentry repairs: a worn deck, back stairs that need replacement, the kind of outside-the-house problem that has to get fixed before it gets worse. The company says it is a family-owned and operated Weymouth business doing handyman work, carpentry, repairs, remodeling, and room additions. The recent run is where the case for hiring them is strongest. On Google this month, a homeowner said Paul’s team rebuilt a broken-down deck, handled the design, and added finish details they liked; on Angi, recent customers describe quick replies, quick quotes, reliable arrival, and a back-stairs replacement completed after the old stairs needed immediate attention. Another recent Angi reviewer singled out a well-organized crew and a neat work area. There is depth behind that, not just a couple of lucky reviews. Google lists 4.6 stars from 22 ratings, and Angi lists 4.6 stars from 160 ratings; Angi’s directory text also says Paul and his crew are repeatedly praised there for handyman work, deck and porch repair, trim repair, and painting. The through-line is repair carpentry and small-to-mid home projects, even though the website also uses broader general-contracting language. The watch-outs are straightforward. One recent Angi customer said there were a few scheduling changes before the job date was settled, even though the work finished as expected. Google also has older 1-star complaints about work quality, reliability, and follow-up, so the recent positive stretch sits alongside older negatives. There is also a basic company-history question worth clearing up before you sign anything. The website says both “30 years of experience” and “established in 2005,” which is not the same claim. If you’re calling them for exterior carpentry or handyman repairs in Weymouth, confirm the scope, who will be on site, and how scheduling will work before the job starts.

PGM Handyman and Construction Services rebuilt a broken-down deck on our house. They did an excellent job, from designing a beautiful deck to adding aesthetically pleasing finishing touches that made our deck the envy of the neighborhood. Their pricing was reasonable, they worked efficiently, and they were both professional and personable. I highly recommend Paul McCabe and his PGM team.

The final result of the project turned out great and the work was done well. Once the team confirmed a date, they showed up as planned and completed everything as expected. There were a few scheduling changes earlier in the process, but everything was ultimately finished successfully.
