Lakeville budgeted $17 million for a new fire station. In September 2025, Nemasket Week reported, the Select Board approved Page Building Construction's bid of $11.7 million — the lowest of eight submitted by prequalified firms. That is the sort of award a town does not hand out casually. Its Google page tells a rougher story: 2.2 stars across six ratings, and the written ones stopped in 2019. The sharpest of them is from August 2018, when a reviewer writing from a hotel project said the company did patch work, refused work that was in the contract, walked away without finishing and then asked for full payment, and stopped answering calls, texts and emails. A December 2017 reviewer was briefer and no warmer. Against that, an August 2019 client called it a transparent, easy experience and recommended the firm without reservation. Three accounts, all of them at least six years old. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 179660, is active. The Better Business Bureau lists the Stoughton company but has not rated it, saying it lacks the information to do so, and it is not accredited there. Worth knowing what this firm actually is: a commercial builder. It describes itself as offering construction management, design-build and general contracting on corporate interiors, colleges, libraries, retail, transportation and multi-unit residential work, led by president Rossano Crugnale since what it says was a 2005 start. A homeowner looking for a kitchen or an addition is not its customer. If you are an owner or an owner's project manager, the 2018 complaint is specific enough to raise directly — ask how that job ended, and ask for references from work completed in the last two years, since the public accounts here are old. The Lakeville station is the obvious current one to check.
“The Lakeville Select Board approved the Page Building Construction Company’s $11.7 million bid for what was slated to be a $17 million project during a Tuesday, Sept. 16 Select Board meeting.”
Great experience. Transparent, easy to work with, highly recommend without reservation!
Mr. Howard Juneau I agree with you 101%. EVERYONE OUT THERE WHO WANTS TO DO ANY CONSTRUCTION WORK PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY AND IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE ME PLEASE STOP BY AT OUR HOTEL TO SEE FOR YOURSELF. ALSO THEY CLAIM TO HAVE OVER 50 EMPLOYEES IS ALSO NOT TRUE I THINK THEY PROBABLY HAVE 5 PEOPLE WORKING FOR THEM AND THEY JUST USE SUBS. ALSO THEY DID ALL PATCH WORK AND REFUSE TO DO LOT OF WORK WHICH WAS ON THE CONTRACT AND NOW WITHOUT COMPLETING THE JOB WALKED AWAY AND ASKING FOR FULL PAYMENTS. I WOULD NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY THE OWNERS DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO PHONE CALLS, TEXTS OR EMAILS THEY ACT LIKE BUNCH OF SMALL KIDS. WORST COMPANY YOU WILL EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY IS LIKE ONE OF THOSE GUYS YOU HIRE ON CRAIG LIST.
No ethics and morally bankrupt. They'd say anything to get your business!
