Metropolitan Cabinets and Countertops works out of 10 Mercer Rd in Natick, and what it sells is the cabinetry and stone that go into a kitchen or bath, plus the design work around them: Houzz lists kitchen and bathroom design, custom cabinets, countertops, vanities, pantries and 3D rendering. Its Houzz profile shows memberships in NKBA, NARI, the IFDA, the MIA and the US Green Building Council, and the company tells Houzz it is the only Massachusetts cabinet manufacturer accepted into the KCMA's Environmental Stewardship Program. The written history runs deep — 39 reviews from 2018 to 2026 across four sources, with a 4.9 average from 34 Google ratings and 4.8 from 84 on Houzz. Four of those reviews landed in the last six months, all positive. The praise is unusually concrete for cabinet work: a 2022 reviewer listed a dry bar, a pantry, a microwave built into the island and an in-cabinet mixer lift; a 2022 Google reviewer wrote that the quality beat a competing quote without costing more. On Reddit, a 2024 commenter in r/QuincyMa said their contractor pointed them here for the design of a kitchen remodel. The complaints, when they come, are about the same relationship from the other side — the designer and the paperwork rather than the wood. A 2024 Houzz reviewer gave two stars for design and measurement errors, wrong cabinets delivered and a rep who was hard to reach, while calling the products themselves beautiful. A 2022 one-star review described a lost stone slab and a cabinet that had to be replaced at the customer's expense; the company replied in detail, disputing that the fit issues were its error. If you go, the practical move is to pick the designer as carefully as the door style — ask who will handle your project, get the measurements confirmed on site before the order goes in, and be clear about who is installing, since several reviewers used their own contractor for that part.
