Our front steps were in serious need of grout repair and cleaning. We had tried contacting other masonry contractors and never received a call back. When we contacted Shawn, he was here the same day to evaluate the steps and the job was started in 24 hours. The steps look brand new.

We've worked with McLaughlin Masonry twice now. In 2019 they repaired and essentially rebuilt our brick stairs after we were told they could not be saved by another contractor. Not only did they save the stairs thus reducing the cost, but they look better than brand new. Shawn also recommended a contractor to install a new handrail for the stairs and they turned out to be just as great as he is! Just this month, McLaughlin Masonry helped us rip out crumbling, stamped concrete from a botched job in 2018. Shawn worked with us to come up with a thoughtful, cost-effective replacement that addressed our concerns and needs. They dug out, leveled, and expanded the pad/area at the bottom of the stairs, improved drainage, and added a dry well to catch any run-off. Most importantly they gave us peace of mind. In both instances, they showed up when they said they would, were knowledgeable, meticulous, paid attention to every detail, finished on time, and exceeded our expectations. More than that, it was clear that Shawn and the rest of the crew take pride in their work and want to do it right. They are so much more than masons. They supported our sagging deck, capped off the sprinkler lines that intersected the new patio, and handled everything that came up with no intervention from my husband or myself. Shawn is a fantastic mason and Jenna is a wonderful communicator. He and his team are professional, skilled, and hardworking. They are also wonderful, caring, empathetic people. Shawn and his crew did a wonderful job on my new brick driveway. We live at a busy intersection and it could have been difficult to use equipment etc. but Shawn made it look easy. His guys were polite and answered any questions I had. The driveway looks so nice and I've had many positive comments from neighbors and people walking by. Very happy with the whole experience.
