Macario's Painting & Carpentry, based at 17 Whittier St in Lynn, has a habit its customers keep describing the same way: before the crew paints a house, they fix what's wrong with it first. A May 2026 review says that before painting, Mac and his crew "repair or replace anything on it (rotten planks, etc.)" so the house becomes "a blank canvas" for the paint job — carpentry used in service of the finish, not run as a separate line of business. The company's own site backs that up, describing itself as a painting operation that also handles remodeling and carpentry — molding and baseboard installation, drywall repair, cabinet renovation — layered onto its core interior, exterior, and commercial painting work. The reviews on record are uniformly positive: Google shows a 5-star average from five ratings, and the three written reviews, all from May 2026, describe long-running, repeat relationships. One customer says they've used Macario's "for many years" for exterior painting, trim repairs, interior painting, and a small bathroom renovation, calling the crew reliable, friendly, and neat; another describes hiring them for both exterior and several interior projects and calls the pricing fair. None of the three raise a complaint. The gap is depth, not sentiment: this read rests on three written reviews, all from Google, so there's a strong recent pattern but not yet a long, independently corroborated track record. Other directories agree on the phone number and street address but not always the name — some list the business as plain "Macario's Painting, Inc." without "Carpentry," and one lists the address under "Essex, MA" instead of Lynn. Macario's looks like a solid call for a paint job that also needs some wood repair first — the reviews and the company's own service list point the same direction. With so few reviews to lean on, it's worth confirming directly how far the carpentry work extends (touch-up trim repair versus larger remodeling) and getting a written estimate, since none of the reviews mention specific pricing.

Macarios painted the exterior of our home and has completed several interior projects for us. Always professional work at a fair price, highly recommended!

We have used Macario’s services for many years now from exterior house painting, exterior trim repairs, interior painting and most recently a small bathroom renovation. He and his staff are always reliable, professional, friendly and work neatly. His prices are fair and we will definitely continue to use his services in the future!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Mac and his crew are the very best. Before they paint your house, they will repair or replace anything on it (rotten planks, etc.) so that it becomes a blank canvas for its painting. They are the very best at what they do. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

After painting our home twice since moving in 8 years ago, we have struggled with peeling clapboards and poor appeal. Then along came Macario and his team. We were referred to him by several people, all of whom raved about his workmanship and service. We were not disappointed. Macario and his crew stripped our home down to bare wood, completed extensive carpentry, and primed and painted the exterior. The results speak for themselves. Our home looks brand new. Their communication was exceptional and we could not have been happier with hour experience. Highly recommend.
