Freedom Pest Control has racked up 319 Google ratings averaging 4.8 stars, and reading through them one word keeps surfacing: thorough. People call the Merrimac-based crew for mice in the walls, ants in the yard, and the occasional bird's nest in a chimney, and technicians get named often enough by returning customers — Shane, DJ, Scott, Kevin, Mike, Lenny — that it reads like people are requesting someone specific. Over the past six months a stream of reviewers describe the same kind of visit: a technician walks the inside and outside of the house, points out entry points nobody had noticed, and explains a treatment plan before leaving. One customer had a chimney checked for a bird's nest and came away with photos and an explanation of what was living there; another had a mouse problem diagnosed and sealed up within the week, with a follow-up already booked. It's a pattern that shows up across dozens of very recent reviews, not just a couple of standout ones. It isn't a spotless run, though. One review from January describes a different experience entirely: after months of being billed for an ongoing plan, the reviewer said nobody showed up for a scheduled mouse-control appointment and nobody called to explain why — worth asking about if you're considering a subscription-style plan rather than a one-off visit. The Better Business Bureau also lists two complaints on file, alongside an A rating and accreditation the company has held since 2009. Freedom Pest Control reads as a solid call for routine residential pest problems — rodents, ants, stinging insects, and the odd wildlife intrusion — backed by a long, largely consistent review history across multiple sites. Before signing up for a recurring maintenance plan rather than a single visit, it's worth confirming what's covered and how fast they'll respond if a problem comes back.

Sharing our recent experience with Scott, technician from Freedom Pest is an absolute pleasure. With attention to every detail and altho last service call of the day, Scott took the time to get at the root of the problem by evaluating the issue then giving a thorough inspection of inside and outside areas. Scott resolved the problem, while also ensuring we had a follow up to the service. Freedom Pest will be our go to if needed in future. Thank you Scott for your patience, professionalism, knowledge and time, a rare find these days.

Kevin did a great job looking in my chimney for a bird's nest. He took photos of the inside of my chimney and gave me lots of information about birds and chimneys. He was very professional and helpful.
